I haven't had a chance to actually use this yet, so I can't speak to the results. My first impression is good, though. The tool feels solid and the design is fairly simple and straightforward, which I like for something that's supposed to solve a very specific flooring problem. It doesn't feel flimsy or poorly made in my hands. I'm looking forward to actually trying it when I get to the flooring project and seeing how well it performs. Over all it seems to have been a good price, and not super heavy.

This is a surprisingly complete little kit for dealing with gaps in laminate, vinyl plank, LVP, or similar floating flooring. Rather than getting just a suction cup and having to find the rest of the supplies yourself, it comes with the double 90° suction cup tool, hammer, sticky pads, felt pads, scrapers, brush, gloves, and other accessories needed for the job.The suction tool feels substantial and has a large rubber contact surface. I especially like the double 90° design because it gives you something solid to strike with the included hammer while keeping the force directed along the flooring. That makes much more sense than trying to kick a plank back into place or hitting the edge of the flooring and potentially damaging it.Another nice feature is that the kit gives you more than one way to tackle the problem. The suction cup is useful on flooring with a smooth enough surface to create a good seal, while the included adhesive pads give you another option when suction isn’t practical. The felt pads are also a thoughtful addition for helping protect surfaces during the repair.Everything arrives together in one box, including some of the smaller items that are easy to overlook until you’re halfway through a project. The components are fairly straightforward to figure out, although having more detailed instructions would make the kit a little more beginner-friendly.Of course, how well a suction-based tool works will depend somewhat on the texture and condition of your flooring. On heavily textured planks, I would expect the suction to be more challenging, which makes the additional adhesive accessories particularly useful.Overall, this is a well-rounded flooring repair kit that can potentially save a lot of frustration—and possibly avoid having to disassemble rows of floating flooring just to close a troublesome gap. Definitely handy to keep around if you have laminate or vinyl plank flooring.

This version of the ZYGC floor repair kit provides a really solid grip for repositioning laminate or other compatible floating flooring when gaps begin appearing. The 90-degree double suction arrangement gives you a good surface to work against, and I like being able to apply force to the tool rather than directly to the edge of the flooring. That reduces the chance of damaging the tongue-and-groove edges while trying to close a gap.The included hammer, scrapers, brush, gloves, sticky pads, and replacement felt pads make this a surprisingly complete kit.As with any suction-based tool, the flooring surface matters. It works much better on clean, smooth flooring than heavily textured planks where the cups may struggle to maintain suction.Overall, this is a useful kit to keep around if you have floating floors and would rather fix an occasional gap yourself than start pulling flooring apart.

Exactly what I needed to finish my flooring. Makes it much easier.

This did not come with instructions so I did my best to try to figure out how to use it. I did get some help from online sources. I first tried the suction cup alone and after several light taps, the cup just slid on the wood instead of moving it. After several attempts using this method, I tried using one of the sticky pads to adhere the floor to the suction cup. I gave it several more light, then heavier taps but the floor board still would not budge. I have engineered hardwood floors that are not glued down so I don't know why it would not budge even a fraction of an inch. The kit itself is very nice and even includes the hammer and some saw blades. I was hoping it would work but I gave up before I ruined my floor.

Nice complete set of tools for fixing that pesky LVP that previous owner shoddily installed. The knives and spreader made sure we had good clean tracks and grooves. extra felt and a pair of gloves is nice. Love that the kit literally includes all items needed to get the job done. The double headed mallet works well against the double pads of the suction cup. Holding power of suction cup works well with the planks we have. Was amazed at the quick work it made of closing up and securing our shifty flooring. Thanks

I have been watching videos in an attempt to learn how to replace some of the sections of our laminate flooring because of the huge and ugly gaps. As a last resort, I thought I would give this Floor Gap Fixer Tool a shot. My wife was amazed that I was able to close up all of the gaps in our floor in less than 30 minutes. This is an amazing tool. The suction cup adheres security to the flooring and the hammer provides just the right amount of force to slide the pieces together. I was absolutely amazed at how quickly I was able to fix all of the gaps without replacing a single section of flooring.I highly recommend this kit if you want to close up those unsightly gaps in your laminate flooring. I know that this kit saved us a ton of money. I am certain that it would have cost a lot if we would have called a flooring professional to come out and close up these gaps. And we did it ourselves in less than 30 minutes.I cannot recommend this kit highly enough—it really works great.

I picked this up for an upcoming basement in‑law suite project I’m building for my dad and after testing it around the house I can say it’s absolutely a must‑have for anyone installing engineered flooring, laminate, or vinyl plank. It handles pretty much every floating floor system except traditional hardwood. It *can* work on hardwood in a pinch using the included heavy‑gauge clear sticky pads, but this tool is clearly designed for modern click‑lock floors. The suction cup on this thing is no joke. It’s a thick, curved rubber cup that grabs onto the plank like one of those professional mirror‑lifting suction cups. Push down, flip the lever, and it locks in hard. Once it’s latched, a quick tap on one of the felt‑coated impact pads shifts the board cleanly into place. It’s fast, controlled, and way better than the old “kick the board with your foot” method I’ve had to use some previous installs.Speaking of tight spots, this tool shines there. The felt‑coated pads on both sides make it easy to work near walls or in narrow areas where those big double‑cup tools are basically useless. This smaller design is way more practical for real‑world installs. The bright orange color is a bonus for people like me who set tools down and watch them magically vanish. You can spot this thing across the room without getting annoyed that it walked away...🙃The kit includes extra felt pads and several of the clear sticky pads. Those sticky pads grip like crazy but will lose effectiveness if they get dirty, so it’s nice that they give you spares. The hammer is decent too, it's about 10.5 inches long with two removable caps (one resin & the other is VERY hard rubber). The caps thread off with a 7/16‑14 stud, so you can swap them if you prefer a softer rubber face. Also comes with a cheap pair of white gloves, a pair of cheap flip out grout scrapers, a grout brush & a cheap plastic scraper. Not the best tool accessory kit but they'll work in a pinch.Overall, this is a well‑engineered, well‑built tool that makes floor gap repairs and installs way easier. For the price, it’s honestly a no‑brainer. If you’re doing any floating floor project, this belongs in your kit.
