The bar isn't super high on these - adjust the size and drop them in your door or window track. I didn't even have to look at the instructions. Just screw sections together as necessary, make sure the end caps are on, adjust the legnth using the pushbutton adjuster, and you're done. It looks better than a cut-off broomstick and is just as easy to remove when you are ready for some ventilation.Most patio door locks are crap. These give you some added security from casual thieves. I say casual because a dedicated thief will just break the glass.There isn't much more to say about this product other than it does what it says, looks how it looks, and isn't likely to bend, snap, break, or fall apart. Simple and effective.

When I opened the box and took out all of the parts, I was amazed at how many parts there were for each bar. There are enough tubes to secure a very wide patio door or even a very wide sliding picture window. My application is to secure 2 regular-sized windows which face the front of the house, about 15’ from the road, and it would take nothing for someone to enter through either of those windows. So, my bedroom window is never opened, and the living room window has to be closed and locked when we either go away or go to bed for the night. What I especially love about these is that they are not small cheap curtain-rod type bars which don’t give any feeling of security. These bars are very robust, and for the first time in 50 years I can go to bed with both the living room and bedroom windows open for airflow, since we don’t have A/C. I really like these, and they have many, many adjustment positions which in my opinion should make just about anyone satisfied. I highly recommend these.

I got these sliding door security bars for a slightly different use than for a sliding door. I got them for a regular window with a window air conditioner in it. Although I know that this product isn't perfectly designed for that purpose it still seems to work fairly well for my use/case. The part of my window that I wanted to secure was too short for the shortest rod/extension combo so I ended up placing the bar crosswise in the window (see photo). I like that these security bars come with two different size extension bars. Also, I like the method of extending the bar which made it very easy to extend out to the needed length. The bar feels pretty sturdy and I'm guessing it would hold a sliding door in place. I'm my case it probably wouldn't work as well, but I knew that when I got these. All in all though I'm pretty happy with these and they work well for me

I can finally feel safe when I’m home alone. I ordered these security bars for my sliding glass door. My sliding glass door has a lock on it but I’ve noticed that sometimes I can still pull the door open with the lock latched so I’ve been a little uneasy about it. These security bars can be used for windows or doors. They are built with durable metal and can support up to 300lb of pressure. They are adjustable in length as well. You can extend them from 20.43” to 61.93” to fit a lot of different openings. They have non slip rubber ends to provide a better grip and hold them in place until you want them to be moved. They are very easy and quick to install them and just as easy to remove them. You don’t need to use any tools or drill any holes to install them either. Overall I am very happy with this 2 pack of door/window security bars. They have heavy duty, durable, easy to install, reasonably priced, and a great value for the price. I can now sleep comfortably in my home and feel safe at all times. I feel like I will be able to use these for a very long time without needing to replace them but if I ever do need to replace them for any reason I will 10000% order these exact ones again from this brand.
