I’m in the process of refreshing my bathroom on a budget, so I’ve been looking for ways to update the older fixtures without replacing things that are still working perfectly well. My existing shower setup was functional but definitely showing its age, and this trim kit gave me a compatible replacement without having to get into a much bigger plumbing project.....or so I thought.The pieces felt sturdy and well made, and I liked that the kit includes the tub spout, escutcheon, knob, and hardware so everything matches. However, there were some real problems with the installation. The 3/4" plastic adapter has an area that appears to be a failed punch-out to create an opening for the hex screw to tighten up against the water pipe. The screw simply tightened up against the plastic, which didn't attach the fixture at all. We drilled a hole through the plastic adapter assuming that this hole was designed for the hex screw. We could then tighten the spout against the pipe somewhat, but not enough to prevent it from leaking between the spout and the wall. The prior spout which when installed and the screw tightened, the adapter tightened at multiple points around the pipe. This one had only on point of contact on the pipe.We placed the spout as far against the wall as possible, tightened the single screw which created just the one point of contact on the pipe, and water leaked between the spout and the wall. When we went to remove the spout, the plastic rotated within the spout, now placing the hex screw out of reach. We now had a spout stuck on the water pipe and no way to loosen the hex screw. Ultimately, we had to use a hack saw to get it off.I gave it 3 stars because the shower plate and knob worked just fine. And the components were compatible with my current hardware --- unfortunately, the tub components are simply not well designed.

It provides a nice update to an existing tub / shower for a bargain price. The brushed nickel looks nice but it also looks like it has a plasticized coating of some kind that will probably not be long lasting if it is cleaned with anything other than a soft cloth. I'd use these to update a bath that is not often used or in preparation for selling a property or for a rental property.

I needed to replace the original faucet and spout on a tub, and this is an exact fit replacement. Candidly, I think it is even nicer than the original! Installation was very easy, and the instructions were mostly clear. The quality feels like a high level of craftsman than the old one, too. With all the parts, including screws, this was a good value for me. My tub is just the copper pipe, and this kit had all the parts to work with this variation of plumbing and there were no leaks after fully installed. It took about 20 minutes. Highly recommend this to spruce up an older tub.

Really happy with the quality of this tub shower trim kit. The matte black finish is beautiful and looks especially sleek against a white tub. Everything has a clean, modern appearance that really updated the look of the bathroom. The finish feels durable and the overall set looks much more expensive than expected.
