I'm very satisfied with my first knock-off Dewault tool. powerful and seemingly well made. The included blades sucked but that's true with any cutting power tool from any brand. After attempting to plane something with it and it looking like chicken scratch I replaced the blades with good ones and now it works perfectly, as good as any electric planer from any company.

I am satisfied with the product's performance, but I have one issue: the power button is not smooth to operate. It is quite stiff, and after using it for a few minutes, it causes discomfort or pain in my finger.

This is the best deal for a great cordless planer. I've now used this to complete a project for my backyard and I'm very happy with it. I do not think I will use it everyday so I did not want to spend $200+ for the dewalt so I looked at all the others. The special things about this one?1. It accepts my Dewalt batteries. 2. The dust chute changes from side to side depending on your needs and the design of the switch is better then most of the others I saw. 3. It comes with a dust bag. 4. I used the side guide and the rabbit depth gauge and I think both are really good and better than some of the others I saw. I ended up using the rabbit guide to fix a problem on my project and was so happy I chose this brand and model.

Love this little planer, especially for the price. Purchased to clean up some fence boards that were a bit rough before sealing them. I have 3 batteries in rotation with this little planer and my back tires out before this does. I have planed about 300 so far (both sides). A little bit of paste wax on the base that has dried and buffed and it slides like butter across the fence boards.
