Surprisingly Compact and Easy to UseI honestly couldn’t believe how small and lightweight this welder is for what it can do. It’s very easy to carry around, which makes it great for taking to different jobs or keeping in the truck. The large LED screen is bright and easy to read, and I really like how simple it is to change between the different welding modes. The controls are straightforward and don’t take long to figure out.Pros: Lightweight and portable, great LED display, easy mode changes, and simple controls.Cons: It’s obviously not meant to replace a large professional shop welder for heavy fabrication.For portable repairs and general welding jobs, I’m very impressed with it so far. Great little machine for the size.

I have a more powerful, and more expensive, mig welder at my cabin out in the country, but didn't have anything for here at home, so I ordered this one up.This is a good homeowner grade inverter welder for sticking metal together decently well. In the box you get everything you need to start welding, except for a helmet, which you'll need to source yourself. Aside from that, the welder comes with flux core wire, wire feed gun, and the stick welder holder.As far as use, the simplistic controls do make it easy to use, but they also limit any fine tuning you can do. For example, the wire feed rate is locked to the current setting and cannot be varied. Most of the time this makes sense, but it would be nice to have a little more control. When in synergy mode, it adjusts the voltage automatically, but you can vary that a bit if you need to.Unlike the old spatter master HF welder I gave away a long time ago, this being an inverter unit, it is capable of laying down a decently clean bead. I tried it out on some fairly thick scrap steel and got decent results out of the box.Overall, while you're not gonna start a fslab shop with this machine, for general repair and occasional projects, it is more than capable. At the current coupon price of under $100 dollars, it's a pretty good value as well.

I'm new to flux core welding so I bought this machine because of the low cost. Loading the wire was pretty easy. The instructions were a little confusing but I figured it out without much effort. As far as performance, I don't have anything to compare it to but from an amateurs perspective, it seems to work really well. The settings were easy to adjust including adjust the wire feed speed. My welds aren't the greatest yet but they are getting better. The quality of the machine seems really good for the price so I think it's a good value. The machine is fairly lightweight so it's really portable. Overall, I'm really pleased.

First off this comes with a stinger for Arc welding. That's nice. Not every mig welder comes with one of those, even if it is capable of stick welding.They really packed a whole lot of stuff inside of the welder. That might be good for protecting the stuff, but maybe not so smart as far as protecting the welder itself. There is some sensitive stuff inside of a welder.The wire guide was kinked from the factory. Getting the wire to feed was quite difficult. The wire alignment was not very good inside the machine. I managed to get it to work, but I do wonder if that's going to cause a problem down the line. The stand-up post inside was not really installed correctly. You also can't adjust the wire feed wheel with wire in place.With all that being said, this does weld very well. The picture I posted comes with some caveats. One, I am not a professional welder. I've done a lot of welding, but I'm far from a professional. Second, that is some terrible metal to be welding. It's an exhaust that exploded. It's a mini bike exhaust made out of the cheapest thinnest metal imaginable. It has some Chrome on it. None of those things scream easy to weld or very weldable. I was able to weld it though. I was able to adjust it down to the point where it didn't just blow right through it.What I discovered quite quickly is that this is a very adjustable welder. It says it's a beginner welder. I'm not entirely sure if that's true. There are much easier to use welders than this out there. They don't work as well. However, they are simpler to use. I'm not saying this is a bad welder, but maybe it's not the best for a beginner.The flux core mig wire that came with it is pretty decent. It's definitely better than the stuff I normally get at the store. Then again, I'm noticing that everything is better than Lincoln welding wire.Most of the problems this machine has can be forgiven considering its price. It is a very good deal. The value for money here is great. Now, the generic review for every welder in this price category is "this will not replace a professional welder." Well I've got news for you, I use these little cheap welders every single day, and they usually hold up. We'll see how this one works. I also have one of their welding helmets, and I like it too.

For casual DIYers such as myself, every now and then I would run into a situation where I would need to weld 2 pieces metal together, and for decades, I just learned to make do by using adhesives or JB Weld, because welding was reserved for professionals and not for home use. But in the past decade, small, home welding machines begin to arrive, they were usually in $300 to $500 range, so it is still difficult to justify having one only for occassional use. Then this Taskzoom welder came along, at $120, this is a game changer for home DIYers.Upon taking it out of the box, the unit is light and portable, yet still feels well constructed, the housing is made of stamped metal and plastic, and the clamps are thick metal and heavy gauge wires. It is loaded with accessories to start welding immediately as long as you already have mask and gloves. It came with a decent sized starter roll of flux core wires that snaps into the spool and threads easily, the rest of the setup was also straight forward and basically requires only dial in the wire size and steel thickness and then clamp down the metal, pull the trigger, and the wire started to feed and I literally started welding within minutes. Although the weld was not pretty due to my inexpeirence, this welder successfully mended a broken office chair leg back together in seconds . So far, I only tested the flux core method since that is most beginner friendly, I will report back on how the TIG and Stick work another time, after I practice the flux core technique more to make the weld prettier.In addition to the top notch performance, the standout feature of this welder is its small size and lightweight, which makes storing and using this unit a pleasure rather than a chore. In my already over crowded work bench and garage storage, this unit is a welcome addition. All this capability and functionality for $120 makes this wleder a 5-Stars value.

I got this for occasional use around the house. I am more of a hobbyist/mechanic than a real welder, and I have a habit of dragging home other people’s discarded stuff and putting it back into use. Every now and then that means welding, and for that kind of work this machine seems plenty adequate.One of the big advantages is that it is a 110V unit, so it is easy to use in a normal home setup without making the whole thing into a major production. For small repair jobs, light fabrication, and general homeowner-type projects, that is a big part of the appeal.From what I could find outside Amazon, the general impression of this MIG-135Pro style machine is about the same: compact, portable, aimed at DIY and repair work, and not really meant to replace a larger shop welder. That seems fair to me. (YouTube⁠)I would rate it 4 stars because it does what it says and fits my needs well, but I am not pretending it is some heavy-duty professional machine. For occasional home and garage use, though, it seems like a solid fit.
