This black rope feels sturdy and is easy to work with.This item came with 100 feet of black rope. The rope is a dark black with shiny fibers. The ends are melted to protect from fraying. The rope is quite flexible and is easy to tie into knots. The rope doesn't feel very stretchy which is good for a low stretch rope. The diameter of the rope is approximately 0.35". I weighed the 100 foot long coil of rope at 43.17 ounces.Cutting the rope this being a braided rope it does fray. There's several ways to handle that, my favorite for synthetic rope is to melt the end to prevent it from fraying. You can also use heat shrink tubing, tape, and more.This comes with a lot of rope and the black color keeps it from standing out visually.

This Polyester rope is just what I hoped for. I built a wishing well and wanted a hanging bucket with functional lift lower system. This rope has UV protection, great for outdoor use. Does not have alot of stretch and is perfect for my needs. It's also used for marine applications so its water resistant as well. There is 100 ft. and I needed 6 feet. So, I can add this to my camping gear for multiple applications. I like the size, thickness of this rope. Not too small in thickness like a 1/8" or even 1/4". It holds alot of weight and looks like a rope that will get the job done and hold up well in the elements. I think the black color almost makes it invisible in certain uses.

I have not attempted to verify the advertised 1,642 pound breaking strength, and I am certainly not volunteering to stand underneath something weighing 1,641 pounds to find out, but for normal household and outdoor use it feels plenty substantial. Overall, this is good quality utility rope at a reasonable price and something I expect to get plenty of use out of.

This is a good general-purpose rope to have around. Rope is a tool, and it is useful for many applications. It is soft, braided, and easy on your hands. This rope has the great feature of being UV-resistant. Here in Montana, the sun can destroy plastics and ropes, weakening them rapidly. I like having a stash like this in my truck for rigging a load or perhaps pulling some downed limbs off a road- you just don't know when you'll need it. One important note: they list a breaking strength of 1,642 pounds. That is very different from working strength. For general use, it is recommended to use a 5:1 ratio, which means don't apply more than 328 pounds to it. If it is a critical use or for overhead lifting, a 10:1 ratio is recommended, which would put the load limit at 164 pounds. For light or temporary use, a 4-1 ratio is okay, which would be 410 pounds. Also noteworthy, this rope is denser than water and will sink. I'm pleased with this product for its utility and value.
