These reinforcement locks are sturdy and give me extra peace of mind when it comes to home security. They feel heavy-duty and well made, and installation was pretty straightforward. Once installed, they lock securely and add an extra layer of protection beyond a standard door lock. I also like that you get two in the pack. Great value for an easy and affordable security upgrade!

These are exactly what I was looking for! The quality is much better than I expected—they feel sturdy, well-made, and very durable. I installed them on my doors to help keep my kids from wandering outside when they aren’t supposed to, and they work great for that extra peace of mind. The instructions for installation was easy to understand and even easier to install ! They fit perfectly!I also think these would work really well on cabinets or other areas you want to keep little hands out of. I’m already planning to order another set because they’ve been so useful. If you’re looking for an easy way to add a little extra security around the house, I’d definitely recommend these.

This is a review of the SOONLIHOOM branded Home Security Door Lock. It is a zinc alloy supplementary door lock or latching device to reinforce a door against battering or being kicked in. The manufacturer says it adds up to 800 pounds better resistance. Compare that with about 65 pounds resistance against a door knob. This device differs from many others. Instead of a flip latch (some are also good designs) or door chain (almost worthless), this is a sliding mechanism that prevents a door from opening inwards. It is mounted by 4 screws onto the frame of the door. The moving piece is free to slide across blocking movement inwards.Usage tips for even better hardening of your doors:• Placement matters: Recommendations from many experts in security sites suggest this should be mounted at least 6 inches above your door lock to help oppose some one trying to kick in a door. In the top third of your door.• Depth of screws matters: To make it reinforce even better, as many security experts suggest, consider use of longer 3 inch hardened construction screws (not included but would recommend consideration) to penetrate through door frame into structural wood (see image).-- Reason: the door frame is very weak.-- Using 3 inch screws if not already in your existing door lock and deadbolt greatly increases structural resistance to battering of the door and anchors the hardware beyond just the weak frame.• If there is no gap between door and door frame, you can mark where you want to mount the lock. Then very carefully use a wood chisel and hammer (neither is included) to chisel out a thin section of the frame that matches the outer dimensions of the sliding lock. 1 mm depth may be all you need.Cautionary Note:• Make sure all members of your household including any children who do not need direct vigilant supervision understand how to slide the latch horizontally by and operate all other locks, so they can open the door if needed.• All should practice and be able to do this even by touch even if they cannot see e.g., dense smoke in a fire.• They should practice and be able to find and operate all locks with eyes closed.-- You want higher security. Not a trap in a fire.

I ordered these to be used on my two exterior doors for added security when we are home. They could potentially also double as a child security device (if mounted high enough) to keep littles from opening the door to go outside but I think there are better options for that that use a more complicated series of moves to open them rather than just the simple sliding motion on these. There are two set screws on the back of the cross slide that can be adjusted to control how hard these are to slide to lock and unlock but is kind of a hassle to dial it in and if you want change it after install it you need to unscrew the whole mechanism from the door jam to do so. This adjustment (maybe it’s intentional ) makes the lock and unlock action quirky/not smooth like it’s catching on something. That can be frustrating to me. Other locks I have tried require a complicated dual action pull out and away motion that make it difficult for littles and toddlers to open as well as grown adults. That’s secure but a pain too. This one is clearly simple just slide the latch left or right to open or close and mount it up high to offer a some protection for small children, but know some smart taller ones could push a chair over and easily open it too. Thats the trade off. The chrome plated version I ordered is heavy duty but looks cheap due to the poor chrome plating work, my reason for the three stars when coupled with the awkward pressure adjustment operation. I would give it 4 stars if the “gray” version looked better, the chrome-plated just looks poorly processed. The included mat I assume is there to protect the door edge, the instructions aren’t clear but that could look a bit janky too.

These door locks are giving me hotel room security vibes, the kind you’d add to a hotel room door so no one else can get in. The matte black finish is really nice looking, and installation is easy since they come with all the hardware you need to get them up. It is a very basic process that anyone will be able to complete.I ordered these for a house we’re closing on. It’s a major fixer upper, so it’s going to be a while before we get to replacing the doors and locks themselves. In the meantime, these will let me secure a couple of the doors right away. They’re a perfect stopgap for exactly this kind of situation. They are heavy duty quality! At first sliding them was a bit sticky but after playing with them for a bit they loosened up perfectly. Great product for a little extra peace of mind.

This is a two pack of heavy duty anti-pry door deadbolts locks. These are really easy to install with the included hardware and these work really well. They are very easy to use and are so strong they hold up to 800 lbs of force! They are made of strong heavy duty metal and are an excellent value for the cost
