Premade Board and Batten Wainscoting Kit

We're in the middle of several home upgrades right now, and one of the things I've envisioned for our kitchen nook is board and batten wainscoting. This kit is pretty much exactly what I was looking for! The sizing worked really well for our nook, and I like that the MDF is easy to work with. It's simple to cut and secure to the wall, and the paintable finish makes it easy to get the look I want without a ton of extra prep work. So far, it's been a really straightforward way to add some character without having to build the whole thing from scratch.My only hesitation is the durability of the MDF. We've used MDF products before without any major issues, but after a few of these boards sat on our dining room table for a couple of days, I noticed a pretty good gouge in one of them. I'm assuming it happened during one of our teens' over-excited "boying" moments 😂, but it did make me wonder if MDF was the best choice for an area that's probably going to see its fair share of bumps and bruises. I guess we'll find out soon enough! For now, though, I'm really happy with how the kitchen nook is coming together and ready to enjoy my newly remodeled space!

We have been remodeling the house, and one of the areas that had gotten pretty bad was the hallway. I needed a way to fix the walls up and make it look nice again, and when I came across this pre-made paintable board and batten wainscoting kit, I knew right away it was what I was looking for. I went ahead and picked one up.When it arrived, it came in perfect condition, no pieces missing, damaged, or chipped anywhere in the package of thirty-six. I went ahead and got started in the hallway, and it went up with ease. Everything fit together perfectly. I will say the kit only comes with the pieces themselves, so I did need to pick up a nail gun and some glue separately to get it installed, and it also arrives plain brown rather than painted, so that part is on you to finish. Once it was up, it looked beautiful in the hallway. It was easy to design and arrange to look like real paneling, and it made the whole space feel more unique than it did before. The material feels good quality, and it was easy to cut down to size when I needed to reshape a piece here and there.For anyone remodeling and looking to dress up a hallway, a bedroom, or even an office, I do recommend this kit. It is versatile enough to work into different patterns depending on what look you are going for, and it feels made to last. I am happy with how the hallway turned out.

As a new homeowner tackling a ton of small projects, I am constantly ordering decor items, tools, and materials online. Lately, a lot of my decor stuff has been arriving damaged for some weird reason, so I was fully expecting for some of these boards to show up cracked, dinged, or irregular. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this order! The items were exactly as described and of very good quality. The packaging was incredibly secure, ensuring that every single MDF panel was protected during transit. The pieces feel sturdy and well-manufactured, with smooth finishes that are going to be incredibly easy to prep and prime. Because the boards are uniform and ready to assemble, it takes so much of the tedious guesswork and heavy cutting out of the project. It exceeded my expectations for the price point and feels like a truly premium material. My husband and I already have our room design concept in place, and having reliable pieces makes the whole process so much less stressful. We will be getting paint and putting them up this weekend. I can already tell this is going to add a beautiful, custom architectural detail to the space without the custom price tag. Highly recommend this kit for anyone looking for a beginner-friendly DIY!

The molding pieces arrived well packaged and were easy to paint before installation. Everything fit together nicely, making the project much easier than building trim from scratch. The MDF surface was smooth with no extra prep work needed, and it gave my wall a clean custom look. It completely changed the appearance of the room for a much lower cost than expected.

Went up really easily with Brad nailer. It took 2 coats of paint to look good. Love the look!
