While rebuilding my T176 4 speed Transmission, I bent 3 pair of snap ring pliers on several retainer clips. But putting it back together with this set of pliers was a breeze and no damage to the pliers. Very happed with how they held up.

I sat for 3 or 4 hours trying to get a signal snap ring out of my transfer case. Went through 2 pliers that I bought from my area locally. They were all I could find in any store that I went to. Those would bend right as I was about to get it out. Which rounded the teeth things at the end.Got these pliers in the mail and had the ring out in 5 minutes. Would have been less if I walked out there faster. Only wear on them is the paint on the teeth came off after taking apart 2 cases and rebuilding 1
