Installation was straightforward, which I appreciated since I was doing this myself. The instructions were clear enough and the whole process didn't take long to get it wired up and mounted. I used a regular outdoor bulb, but I woul dbe pretty with a long Edison bulb.The light looks really good once it's up. The black finish and the water pattern glass gives it that classic farmhouse look that works well on a porch or entryway. It feels sturdy and the glass panels have a nice texture to them that catches the light in a pleasant way. I ordered this exterior lantern sconce to replace a fixture that was just a bit too modern for our exterior. I’ve been wanting to change the old porch light on my house for some time. It worked just fine, but the style was older and it really made a bad statement to people who came to my front door. So, when I saw this light and I really liked the style of it in the pictures, I decided to get it. First off, it’s bigger than I expected and for me that’s a good thing, because it fills the space nicely on the wall on my porch. It’s also pretty heavy due to the glass panels, so it needs to be mounted securely. It comes with everything that you need, and it took me under 30 minutes to remove the old one and instill this new one. I’m very happy with how it looks on my house and the quality seems very good. The only minor point that I can make is that it looks like it was put in the box before the lights finish was dried, because some of the packing material stuck to the light in a few spots, and in trying to get it off, the finish came off. It doesn’t really show due to the way it’s mounted to my house, so I’m not really concerned about it. If this style of light is to your liking, then I’d definitely recommend this light. It’s very good quality, it’s IP65 waterproof rated, it takes regular bulbs, and the price, while on the higher side, is not out of line for a good quality outdoor light.
