This clear pendant light is a sufficient size that only one would be needed for a regular size kitchen island. A very long island would probably call for two just to look balanced. The glass globe is very oddly but attractively shaped and is eye catching. This light fixture is made from heavy, thick, clear glass. The ceiling cap and the collar for the glove are made out of sturdy metal that is evenly coated with a satin finish gold color. This fixture is hardwired but the installation is standard and all hardware necessary is included. A good value for the money.
