I picked up this kit for a few wiring repair projects, and it comes with just about everything needed to get started. The assortment of solder seal connectors and heat shrink tubing covers a good range of wire sizes, and having everything organized in a storage case makes it easy to find the right piece quickly. The heat gun heats up fast and the two temperature settings are useful for different tasks, from shrinking tubing to other general heating jobs. I also appreciated the included nozzle attachments, which help direct the heat more precisely. The kit takes a little time to sort through initially because there are so many components, but that’s a minor issue considering the variety included. Overall, it’s a well-rounded set that offers good value for anyone tackling electrical repairs, automotive wiring, or DIY projects.

I ordered this heat gun kit for our household and I couldn’t be happier. Nothing screams you’re in your 40’s like getting excited over having a heat gun with attachments and a case full of shrink solder seals. My husband is an industrial electrician so he is familiar but didn’t have his own at home aside from work tools, so now he does and he is one happy camper. The first thing he used it on was to reshape a weather tech mat in his truck that was mis-shapen when it arrived and was never properly reformed. He used a torch on it years ago and it did not do the trick. Enter his new heat gun and voila, no longer is my passenger side mat the bane of my existence sliding around the floorboard. The heat gun easily allowed for proper temperature control to get the job done in no time!The heat gun heats up well and has two settings with a simple toggle switch between the two and the off position. Super intuitive and I can use it easily as well. It’s powered by a cord, but it’s reliable and doesn’t have to be charged so I found that to be a plus honestly. The included storage box and connectors will last us forever as there are so many, but good for random projects. We’ve used them on rewiring our son’s power wheels and always need a new connector and the heat gun will make it easy to shrink them on well moving forward. I also know I will be using it to smooth out creases on old tennis shoes as I’ve seen that hack going around. It will also work well on peeling old adhesives and paint when needed I’m sure.I think it will work out well to have this as it’s versatile for a household to have one on hand. It comes in a sturdy box that can easily be used to store it when not in use, and is labeled on the outside as to what it is, which I always love for organizational reasons. Should be easy to store away when not in use and keep the attachments tidy and accounted for. The price point is more than reasonable in my book for the number of connectors and accessories included with the gun for under $40.

This is a very complete wiring repair kit and an excellent value for anyone who does automotive, marine, trailer, or general electrical work.The assortment of solder seal connectors and heat shrink tubing is excellent. The variety of sizes covers most of the common wire gauges you're likely to encounter, and everything is organized neatly in the included storage case, making it easy to find the right connector without digging through a pile of parts.The heat gun itself performs very well. It heats up quickly, offers two temperature settings, and has plenty of power for heat shrink tubing, solder seal connectors, and other common shop projects. The four interchangeable nozzles are a welcome addition and make the gun useful for far more than just electrical work.Where the kit loses a star for me is storage. The connectors are well organized in their own case, but the heat gun and all four nozzles are left without any dedicated storage solution. There isn't a carrying case for the gun, nowhere to secure the extra tips, and not even a hanging loop so it can be stored neatly on a pegboard. I know myself well enough to realize that, over time, those loose nozzles are almost certainly going to get misplaced somewhere in the workshop.It's disappointing because everything else about the kit feels thoughtfully put together. Adding even a simple case or molded storage tray for the heat gun and accessories would have made the overall package feel much more complete.At around $34 on sale (or about $38 at full price), I still think this is a good value. The heat gun performs well, the connector assortment is excellent, and the kit is ready for a wide variety of wiring projects right out of the box.Overall, this is a capable and useful kit that I would recommend, but I do wish the manufacturer had put as much thought into storing the heat gun and accessories as they did the electrical connectors.

The first thing I used this heat gun for was removing the old numbers from my mailbox so I could put on new ones. The heat made it really easy to loosen the old adhesive, and the numbers peeled right off without leaving any sticky residue behind. That alone made this worth having! The heat gun is easy to use and gets hot quickly, and I like that it comes with a variety of heat shrink connectors for future projects. I’m looking forward to finding more uses for it around the house and for small repairs.

This is a pretty basic heat gun. Heat and fan are adjusted by a three position switch: Hi; Lo & off. There is no fine tuning of temperature, let alone a digital readout of temperature output. Do you really need those things?--most of the time not. It's a bifurcated choice, and removes a lot of confusion as to what temperature should be dialed in. To a great extent you can always reduce temperature by moving the gun farther away from what is being heated--just as we did fifty years ago before fancy temperature regulation was added in recent decades.Maximum heat output, as advertised, is pretty typical of the average heat gun. In use that seems to be true. I haven't put a digital thermometer to it, and anyway, heat output is a matter of volume (total airflow) as well as temperature. Subjectively it seems quite adequate. Airflow can be channeled by the included accessories, anywhere from a broad fan to a narrow blast.The included kit is going to appeal to a lot of new users. The solder seal butt connectors are unintimidating to those unskilled at soldering--just fully insert the wires you wish to join from each end and heat up the center of the connector until you see the solder plug flow. Make sure you have stuck the rest of the connector tight to the wire and you're ready to go. It is not the very best way to make a connection, but it will be sufficient in most circumstances.Also included is conventional heat shrink in red and black and of different diameters. These can seal and insulate terminal connectors as well as wire joined in a conventional manner. They are plane shrink tubing that is adequate for sealing and insulating most connectors. Personally, for anything critical, I always use adhesive lined shrink tubing, that guarantees a total and secure seal, but is not supplied here.Overall it's a fairly complete package. The most notable absence is crimp on end terminals--of course that requires a crimper whose cost would significantly raise the price of the kit. Likewise, this gun is corded, which makes it substantially less expensive the cordless models, but makes it less suitable as a tool for offroad emergency repairs.My rating is for the complete package, and relative to similar offerings.

For those of you that do a lot of electrical work whether it be in the house, in the car, Etc it's always nice to have a good set of heat shrink as well as heat soldering kits and this kit puts all of that together for you!First of all it comes with an excellent heat gun with two different Heat settings! It also comes with a very nice organized plastic box filled with 300 pieces of multi-sized and colored heat shrink and heat soldering shrink as well finally, they provide you with four different types of heating tips which allow you to focus the Heat and the desired with or preference! There is also a paint removal tip which works great as well allowing you to easily peel paint via this heat gun!This particular heat gun does heat up fairly quickly and produces an immense amount of heat that is able to easily heat shrink wires with no issue via the provided Heat shrink! Also it does a great job connecting to wires together via the convenient he shrinks soldering sleeves as well!Overall I am very happy with this heat gun and heat shrink soldering kit that also comes with four different Heating tips! This product is very versatile and allows you to do a variety of different procedures using this heat gun aside from doing the simple heat shrink and Heat soldering!The heat got itself appears to be built very well and seemed quite rugged! The heat shrink that is provided looks professional and equivalent to some of the higher-end heat shrinks that I am typically used to buying!Therefore, based on my review I am rating this product five stars because it truly is an excellent Heat Gun with a nice set of heat shrink as well as heat soldering shrink and heat gun accessories! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
