This magnetice ring is a super affordable option the magnet strength is actually strong . It grips screws tight so they stay straight while driving. The only catch is the included double ended bit it works fine in a regular drill chuck but it won't lock into a quick release impact drive so you can just pull it out with your fingers. To use this on an impact driver you really need to slide the ring onto a standard single ended bit instead. Honestly a quick note in the box explaining bit fitting would save people some hassle but overall getting two magnetic rings plus a bit makes it a great little addition to the kit

Most (all?) bit holders for impact drivers are magnetized... sort of. They kind of hold onto a screw, until they don't. These magnetic rings are serious! They hold onto the screw like they mean it. It wasn't an afterthought. Two identical magnetic rings in two colors and one high quality double ended PH2 bit, which I considered a bonus.

This is a really cool idea. I've had many bit holders, bits, etc. over the years. Some are magnetic; some aren't. There are times when you want the magnet and other times when you really don't want it. It seems like they are often magnetic when you don't want them to be and not when you do. This solves that by making the magnet optional. I'm honestly wondering why anyone made ones that were integrated rather than slip-on before.The magnet in these is very powerful. If the two of these--with no bit in them--are placed less than the bit holder length apart, they will attract and snap fast to each other. I tested this on some other bits I have, and it fits any standard long bit. I also noticed that some of my hand-held screwdrivers were just the right size to slip over it. I doubt they expected that, but it works. To explain how powerful these are, I was testing it with one bit and got close to some others. When I did this, it picked up three other bits.

Who doesn’t hate when you unscrew a tiny screw and it falls off the screwdriver and disappears somewhere. I didn’t even know these magnetic holders existed.It works really well. In my photo my little dinky Phillips screwdriver is holding a whole pile of tiny screws, which honestly surprised me. The magnet is pretty strong.Works great with Phillips screwdrivers. It didn’t fit my flat slot screwdriver though, the head was too wide to go through it.Such a simple little thing but makes dealing with tiny screws a lot less annoying. Wish I knew about these sooner.

These slide-on magnets provide good holding power for steel screws. A little long for some screwdriver bits -- works fine with the bit included -- but overall they significantly reduce dropped hardware annoyances. 2-pack is handy for keeping one with the cordless screwdriver and one with the drill. You can even give the drill a good shake and it won't dislodge. This add-on makes driving screws at awkward angles or overhead with one-hand an easy task. Everything helps when you're up high on a ladder so why not use cheat codes when they're available to you.The good:The magnetic was strong and should fit any 1/4" hex shank bit. It went on and off easily and didn't fly off even with high velocity. A PH2 bit (double sided Philips) comes with and was pretty solid as well. Not that this comes in handy often, but I tested the can hold multiple screws as in one of their images and the magnet was strong enough to hold multiple screws. Myth Confirmed.The considerations: The ring adds some diameter around the bit tip and takes away some length, so you might need a longer bit if you're working in narrow recessed counterbores.If you're using the standard short bits, you'll have to adjust where the ring sits on the bit so the screw head sits flush against the magnet without pushing the tip out of the screw drive.Overall, these are solid. You'll question why you waited this long to get something so inexpensive that avoids so much frustration. If you've ever dropped a screw from up high and looked down at your floor only to realize that that screw has magically disappeared into the floor, then this tool is for you.
