[ 350 Watt Mini Heat Gun Kit with Solder Seal Connectors & Shrink Wrap ]This kit was my introduction to ‘Solder-Seal’ connectors and I was impressed with the kit’s assortment of connectors and the little heat gun did OK too. I have an older, 320 watt mini hot air gun and this one does feel a bit hotter than the old chartreus one. In use, the little heat concentrator did seem to speed up both shrinking tubing and melting the solder in the connectors. The ‘solder seal’ process took longer than I’d expected but thinking about it now and seeing the results of my test connection, I suspect a hotter heat gun could easily damage the tubing. In the attached close-up photo you can see that the sealant inside the tubing did its job and flowed tightly around the wire’s insulation. The conductors were twisted together and the solder did eventually flow through the copper strands making an very strong connection. Overall I’m glad I selected this kit! It seems like a good investment and value!

I have a full sized heat gun but sometimes, I just want to use something that fits in my hand easier-- Usually when I'm working on small items. I finally had the opportunity to use this and I'm quite pleased. I love that it has two powers for the heat, and that the off position is in the middle, so I should be able to not "accidentally" use too high a heat setting when I am sealing foam on my cosplays, or shaping thermoplastics. This kit comes with a bunch of additional heat shrink and solder wire connections which was nice, but not what I plan to use this for. I will happily hold onto them though, for any electronics work I do in the future where it's required for my cosplay costumes, and because my son has shown some interest in electronics repair. I am thinking this will be super useful for him later down the road! One thing that concerns me with this heater is the fact that the stand is made of plastic. One I used previously had a metal prong to rest on, and I feel like that is intuitively better because of the potential plastic has to melt; however, I haven't overheated this yet, and the stand makes it very stable so I can't complain. The vents are a decent size, so I hope that will help with cooling, and the sound level is comparable to others I have used in the past. The plastic also seems to be of a much better quality than the one I was using before, so I hope that helps and there is no warp in the plastic from heating.

I bought this little heat gun because I needed to repair a few wires.Simple project.Five minutes.Done.That was before I discovered it came with 300 solder seal connectors and heat-shrink tubing. Now apparently EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED.My truck?Getting rewired. My trailer?Getting rewired. The garage?Probably getting rewired.I looked at an extension cord and thought, “I wonder what I could improve here.”This thing gets HOT.Not “warm air” hot.I'm talking “respect the heat gun or it will teach you a lesson” hot.The two temperature settings are fantastic. The compact size makes it easy to get into tight areas, and the included connectors make it ridiculously convenient for automotive, electrical, marine, and DIY projects. The solder-seal connectors are especially handy because you can heat them up and get a clean, sealed connection without dragging out half the equipment in the garage.Of course, there's a downside.Once you own this kit, every broken wire within a 50-foot radius becomes your responsibility. My wife now sees me holding the heat gun and immediately starts asking:“What are you fixing?”I don't know. But apparently I'm fixing something.PROS:Gets seriously hotCompact and easy to handleTwo temperature settings300-piece assortmentHeat-shrink tubing includedGreat for automotive and DIY electrical workMakes you feel like an electrical engineerTurns “I don't know how to fix that” into “Hold my heat gun.”CONS:May cause uncontrollable DIY projectsYou will start looking for things to repairYour junk drawer will become a parts departmentYour wife may become suspicious when you say, “I can fix it.”FINAL VERDICT: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Fantastic little kit. It's compact, powerful, and comes with enough connectors and shrink tubing to keep me busy for quite a while.I bought it to fix one wire.I now have approximately 47 projects scheduled.★★★★★UPDATE: I just repaired something that wasn't broken.I have officially become the guy at the barbecue who says:“Don't throw that away. I can fix it.”10/10. Five stars. Send help.

Good packaging though I gave it 4/5 just because the quality is slightly below what I am used to. I used to work on jet avionics and what we used were definitely superior to this though exorbitantly more expensive. The heat deflector doesn't stay on the nozzle well, it's fine when used but if you jostle it too hard it will just wiggle off.Great continuity and adhesion with the connectors and heat shrink

This is a nice all-in-one kit for making automotive repairs or fixing trailer wiring. Sealing electrical connections with heat shrink tubing helps ensure reliable connections, and this kit includes a good selection of heat shrink tubing and solder seal connectors. I also like that the plastic storage box is good quality and should hold up for quite a while. The heat gun has a rocker switch with two heat settings, with off in the middle. I used setting 1, and it was plenty hot enough to shrink the tubing. The metal deflector works quite well for concentrating the heat on the tubing. However, the edges are very sharp, so care should be taken when handling it.The heat gun itself appears cheaply made, but it works well enough. It has a plastic guard around the tip and a fold-out stand. A plastic case to keep the entire kit together would have been nice. For now, I’ll use the cardboard box it came in and keep it on a garage shelf for when it’s needed.I like this kit, and it’s a good value for the money.

Unless you are a heavy user of heat guns, this little guy should provide all that you need. It is small, lightweight, easy to handle, heats quickly, offers 2 heat levels (one for shrinking and one for 'soldering'), and doesn't use much power. It also comes with a comprehensive set of connectors, good for occasional users. They do offer an option with a larger collection of connectors, but that isn't necessary for me.What I really like about this, is that while it is great for anything around my house or garage, I can also use it at my boat or trailers across the street from my house. While those are both places I find myself using a heat gun for wiring, either would require an electrical extension cord dragged over. This little gun only uses 350 watts, so either my EGO 400-watt inverter, or my boat 500-watt inverter work just fine. And, unlike having a battery-operated heat gun, this heats up super quick, and considering my infrequent usage, will not have a dead battery when I DO go to use.Nothing fancy or super powerful, this is a good basic small heat gun that doesn't draw too many watts. 300 connector pieces covering a variety of smaller wire gages will last most casual users quite a while, or get heavy users started.

I used to seal my heat shrink connectors with a lighter and it was always a mess. Scorched tubing, uneven melting, and half the time the solder never flowed right. Grabbing this little kit felt like the obvious upgrade and it turned out to be a good call. The gun heats up quick and the two temp settings actually matter. Lower one for regular tubing, higher one when I want the solder ring to melt and flow. I did a bunch of connectors on my trailer wiring and they came out clean, solder pooled nicely and the tubing sealed up tight around the joint. The little fold out stand is handy when I need both hands free, and it's light enough that my wrist doesn't get tired.Heads up on the first use, it does put out a bit of smoke and a smell for a couple minutes. The instructions say that's the coating burning off and it did go away, but I wasn't expecting it the first time. My only real nitpick is the connectors are decent but I'd have liked a few more of the bigger sizes since I ran through those fast.Overall it does exactly what I wanted and my repairs look a lot more professional now. Happy I picked it up.

The heat gun is well made and warms up quickly. It comes with a lot of precut heatshrink and solder joints in variouse sizes. I also appreciate the plastic cover over the steel nozzle - harder to get burned - and the stable fold up stand. The website, however, gives conflicting temperature specifications for the high range - either 350C or 400C. Waving a thermocouple about 1cm out, from the nozzle, I measured the maximum temperature on the low (I) setting at 263C and on the high (II) setting at 385C - not quite 400C, so the 350C specification is correct. This is important if you want to desolder PCB's with leadless solder, which can require temperature exceeding 400C. Two other small complaints - prefer if switch was labelled Lo and Hi rather than I and II (or better yet, 250C and 350C.) Also more nozzle attachments to create a more concentrated stream of air or a flatter one would have neen nice. But is is a nice compact gun which, with two temperature ranges, makes it suitable for a wide range of applications.
