I had an old fluorescent fixture over the workbench side of my garage and wanted something with real output. This light is flat out bright. One 2 foot fixture lights that side of the garage with clean daylight color, and I can actually see small marks on wood and hardware without dragging a task light over.Installation was pretty straightforward, as long as you are comfortable wiring a fixture. I mounted it directly to the ceiling box. The wiring panel comes off, the knockouts are easy to use, and the included wire nuts were fine. It can also be hung, but direct mount made more sense in my garage. The aluminum housing feels solid and has some weight to it, so I treated it like a real fixture while mounting.It comes on instantly with no hum or flicker that I can see. The color is crisp. It is a lot of light for a small fixture, so placement is worth planning if your ceiling is low.Five stars from me. It gives serious light, feels well built, and the price makes sense for the output.

This seems to add as much light as similar 4-foot-long fixtures. Very bright.Quality product and easy to hang. The hangers provide a lot of flexibility for height and location. I installed a plug-in cord (for ceiling outlets I already have installed) while on the ground.Good product.

I have finally gotten rid of the last of my old fluorescent tube lights in my workshop. These are really well made lights. Installation was easy using the old boxes I had in my shop already. I do like that I had the option to suspend them from the ceiling instead of installing them directly on the ceiling. That would also be an easy install. The amount of light they put out is amazing! The four 2 foot long shop lights completely fill my 800 square foot shop with no dark corners. They seem to not be using near as much electricity as the other lights that I had previously in my shop. I am pleased with the quality of these lights. They are well made and didn't cost as much as some. I would definitely recommend them.

Really impressed with the light output of these units! I had what were supposed to be 150w equivalent bulbs in my garage but these seem much brighter. I direct mounted them to the boxes in place of the old lamp bases and it was a quick and easy install with the included hardware, all you have to do is remove the knockout for the wiring and install the plate on the box and screw everything together, wire nuts were even included for the electrical connection which is nice and easy with the removable center panel that gives access to the wiring and mounting screws and hides all the wiring once installed.I don't have a high ceiling, about 7ft is all i have in my garage, but these still work great at the lower ceiling height and fill the area with light, the lower height doesn't seem to be much of an issue, though i can see how these put up at a much higher location would still fill an area with light nicely. I have all six of this six pack installed in my garage and to say its bright in there is an understatement, i can finally see every little corner in there and it makes it much nicer to work on things.Compared to other units, the price is pretty comparable, most lights i looked at were in the $30-40 range for this power level and output. So i think overall they are a good value for the money if they last a long time.
