I was able to sharpen my knives so well that lightly touching the edge cut my skin. So, I'm going to say that this whetstone does the job just like any others sold here on Amazon.The angling clamp makes it easy to use.The quality of the product and accessories seems good.The only con I can think of is that it does not fit perfectly into the rubber mat/base that comes with it. It doesn't make the stone angled or anything, but some people might find that annoying. So, keep that in mind before making the purchase.
