I trued these out in the hanging fixture above my kitchen sink just to see how these looked. They are a completely clear incandescent bulb thay is 40 watts and a warmer yellow light. Definitely not bright enough for above my kitchen sink, bit they will be perfect in a living room light that we use in the evenings to set a calming mood and environment. They are easy to install and replace just like any other light bulb that screws in. We haven't had great luck with LEDs lasting long, so I'm hoping the lifespan of these is a lot longer. Since there are 2 in the pack they seem comparable in price to other bulbs I've seen for sale that are similar in style. Overall, I feel like these are really nice!

A few years ago I replaced my Incandescent vanity bulbs with Those were great while they lasted but it wasn't even close to that 15,000 hours were rated at. The LEDs were lasting about 8 months each on average. I only have this light on when I'm standing infant of the mirror so energy efficiency that comes with LEDs is not a big concern. These came well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. These incandescent bulbs also put out quite a bit more heat. The bulbs are too hot to touch while they're on. I prefer the cooler LEDs but the heat of these incandescents will actually help warm up the bathroom a bit in the winter. They are also not as bright as the LEDs but they're bright enough. Since my previous incandescent bulbs lasted 15 years, I'm anticipating that these will also do well and I won't be replacing bulbs all the time. Thats the value I'm looking for.

Nice bulbs. I like the clear glass and the globular shape. I feel it looks more interesting than a typical frosted incandescent bulb. The fixtures I intend them for are not installed yet, so I tested them out in one of our table lamps. They screwed right in; perfect fit! The lighting is bright and pleasant... not too warm or cold. And due to the transparent bulb, the light emanating from the filament is crisper and visible through the shade. I feel that looks nicer than just the even glow from a frosted bulb from behind the shade. I can't speak to the lifespan, as I haven't had them long; hopefully I'll remember to update this review down the road with our experience. These do get hot within moments of being turned on, but that's true of all incandescent bulbs. I have a hard time finding incandescent bulbs in local stores; selection is always very limited. Finding these on Amazon was a blessing. I tend to worry about shipping bulbs and breakage however, these arrived fine. Will definitely be getting more of my bulbs from Amazon, and will buy from this seller again.

This two-pack of 40-watt globe bulbs was exactly what I needed for our bathroom light fixture. The quality is good, and they fit perfectly.These aren’t extremely bright, but they provide a nice medium level of light. Since our bathroom fixture uses five bulbs, they produce plenty of light for everyday use without being harsh. If you’re looking for a much brighter output, you may want to choose a higher wattage, but these are ideal if you prefer softer, comfortable lighting.Overall, these are well-made bulbs that perform as expected. I’m happy with them and would definitely recommend them.

These bulbs are as described. They are clear, appear to be about 40 watts, and have that warm glow of a 2700 Kelvin bulb (which is our preferred color temperature). If you want a whiter light, you'll need to look for 3000+ Kelvin.These bulbs are best when used with a torchiere or downcast type lamp, rather than a lamp with a shade. Shaded lamps have crosswires that show as shadows on the celing or wall (see my example image with a regular lampshade). These globe bulbs are larger than a typical bulb, so keep that in mind as you look at how much room you have in your particular lamp or socket application. If you've got a very narrow shade, these bulbs will be too close to it. Since they are incandescent, they do produce heat.The seller describes these as having long life, but does not specify the expected duration. I will be interested to see how long these last in my vanity.I think these are a little overpriced, but appear to be reasonable quality.
