I'm disappointed that I ordered the wrong sized adapters, but of course that is my fault. Be sure to check which adapter you need before purchasing! For the record, E17 is NOT the nightlight size. I don't have a way to test these now, but they look well-made and I would order the correct size and give them a chance.

In the days of incandescent bulbs an adapter like this could have been dangerous, allowing a 100W bulb to be screwed into a fixture wired for small 15W bulbs. But now that virtually everything is LED, this is very convenient in allowing me to use a broad array of LED bulbs with standard bases in fixtures that expect the smaller E17 base. There are four adapters in the package so I needed a couple for my chandelier but I can now use the same bulbs as my other light fixtures.
