I've opened a lot of boxes lately, so I figured I'd give this folding utility knife a try. After carrying it for a few days, I found myself reaching for it instead of my larger pocket knife.The aluminum handle feels solid without adding much weight, and the folding design makes it easy to toss in a pocket without worrying about an exposed blade. Blade changes are quick, and it's nice that it comes with extra blades right in the package.I also appreciate the pocket clip. It stays where I put it, and the knife is easy to grab when I need it. The grip feels secure, even when breaking down thick cardboard.If I had one suggestion, it would be to make the thumb opening a little easier to use with gloves on. It's not difficult, but it takes a little more effort than I expected.For anyone who opens packages, works in a garage, or likes having a compact utility knife handy, this is a practical little tool that does its job well. It's been a nice addition to my everyday carry.

Sharp little thing!This folding blade knife uses disposable scalpel type blades that are obviously surgically sharp. The supplied blade tips are sharp pointed similar to X-acto blades. They are sharp but not strong enough for heavy cutting, think box opening or marking knife not a utility knife.The knife uses a flipper tab for opening but it doesn’t always flip far enough to lock in the open position, it’s easy to push it the little extra bit to lock. Maybe with more use it will flip easier. There’s a side push button to unlock the blade for closing.On the opposite end is another push button to open the extra blade holder. The blade holder has a pair of magnets on both sides to hold an extra blade on each side. It took me a little fiddling to get the blades in the right position so they don’t stick out when the holder is closed.The blade holder has a hooked end which might work as a bottle opener but I don’t have any on hand to try. There’s also a hole through the hook end that could be used for a lanyard or put on a key chain.There’s a belt/pocket clip on one side. It is not reversible.Five extra blades are included.I’m taking one star off because changing out the blade (at least for me) is not as easy as it looks. You have to push up on a tab then slide the blade back to clear the lock groove - while trying not to slice your fingers. I couldn’t get enough pressure on the up tab and resorted to a small screwdriver. Reinstalling the blade was easier.

This is a very neat little knife that uses replaceable surgical-style blades. The overall build quality is good. The aluminum body feels solid, the folding mechanism feels sturdy, and the pocket clip seems like it should hold up well with normal use.The included blades are extremely sharp, as expected. They cut exceptionally well, especially for fine or precise work. I also like that the blades are easy to replace as they dull or break, which makes the knife more practical over time than a fixed-blade hobby knife.The magnetic blade storage compartment is another nice touch. Being able to keep a couple of extra blades inside the knife makes it more convenient to carry and use without needing to keep loose replacements elsewhere.That said, this is still a small, light-duty knife. I would not expect it to replace a standard everyday carry knife, and it is not something I would reach for when doing medium- or heavy-duty cutting tasks. It is much better suited to detail work, precision cuts, light trimming, or possibly small whittling tasks.My main hesitation is the price. It is a well-made tool, but it is also an expensive niche knife. At the current price, I am not sure the value fully lines up with what it offers. Something in the $30–$35 range would feel more reasonable to me.Overall, I like the knife and think it is well executed for what it is. The construction is solid, the blades are razor sharp, and the replacement system is convenient. I would just recommend waiting for a sale unless you specifically need this type of compact precision cutter.

I really like this little utility knife. It's folding and small enough to fit in my pocket. The #11 scalpel blade is commonly available online and at most hardware and home improvement stores. Oddly, I learned that I cannot buy medical scalpel blades at a drugstore.This is really more like a folding X-Acto knife than a typical utility knife. With the diminutive finely tapered scalpel blade, it can make fine precision cuts that I can perform with an X-Acto knife that are impossible with the larger standard utility knife. The little brass button that locks and releases the blade seems safer than a typical folding knife. The fold-out magnetic spare blade storage is similarly locked in place until I press the little brass release button.My main disappointment has to do with receiving the incorrect color. It's not a fulfillment issue. It's a seller's listing error. I really wanted the GREEN version because I have enough little black tools that get lost in the tool bag. GREEN would be much easier to locate quickly than an invisible BLACK version. The listing clearly has the version colors mixed up. Selecting the GREEN variant photo shows the BLACK text information and vice versa. So I selected the BLACK photo which said everywhere else in the text description states that it is GREEN. I received the BLACK one. I tried to follow a return procedure so I can review the color that I wanted. But the return option only offered me "an exact replacement" which I assume will still be BLACK. Perhaps the seller can fix their product listing so others are not disappointed.At the end of the day, the product is well made and a really nice knife. The current pricing of $48 might be a little on the high side. I'm rating it four stars primarily to point out the listing SNAFU.

Like most of us these days, we’re receiving a lot of packages in cardboard boxes that need to be opened and a good sharp knife is often needed. I’m one who always has a pocket knife on him so I just reach in my pocket, open the knife and the package is open, but… the funny thing is that I can use the same knife for years and the small blade I use for packages looks just like the way I bought it - Sharp and Straight. But I lend it once to my wife, mom, friends or others and inevitably the tip is bent, broken or otherwise damaged when returned minutes later. How do they do this??? It’s a cardboard box?!? While it provides me a good excuse to occasionally buy myself a new pocket knife, I need a better solution to loan out to people.This seems like just the right solution: It’s lightweight yet clips on my pocket or keys and it’s remarkably sharp. The blade is thin and small which is perfect for opening packages but clearly not big enough for whatever ridiculous things people seem to try to do every time they borrow my pocketknife! Additionally it comes with several replacement blades and even stores 2 of them safely within the knife itself so it’s easily returned to good as new when someone does try to do something wrong with it.I like the ergonomics of the knife as well; I’ve always disliked the cheap boxcutters that hold a single edged razor in them as they are so flat and awkward to hold and seem to slip from hands at inopportune times. This blade opens to a decent yet convenient size and provides enough surface area to safely open the largest of bags or boxes.

WOW! This folding utility knife from TIESANJIAO is a well built, high quality utility knife that's perfect for light duty tasks such as opening cartons, cutting string or rope, and even great for opening the mail. The blades are so small and thin that they fit perfectly in the fold of a sealed envelope. I'm not sure what the manufacturing process was behind this knife but, all of the components are extremely precision made and beautifully crafted. The model that I ordered is black with gold hardware in the handle, which is not only sturdy but is attractive as well. The knife is easy to use and deploy. You simply flip the small finger button at the front of the knife and the blade opens effortlessly. Closing this knife is just as easy, with the push of a button, the blade holds back into the handle. And as for blade changes, there's a little white arrow on the blade holder that indicates the push point where sidewards pressure is applied to release the locking mechanism. As you apply pressure, you simply pull on the used blade and out it comes. Now, here's the great part, there are two spare blades stored in the handle. Simply push the gold button which releases the compartment that magnetically holds your spare blades. Remove one and slide it onto the blade holder until it bottoms out, and you're ready to get back at it. There's a spring belt clip on the back side of the knife that's perfect for keeping the knife handy right at the top of your pocket. And, the attention to detail on this knife is incredible. There's even a small company logo laser etched at the top of the belt clip, which goes to show you just how much thought went into the design and manufacturing of this awesome knife.This knife comes complete with a total of six #11 blades. One, installed in the knife from the factory, and an additional five that are individually packaged, ready for use when you need them. Replacement blades are available anywhere that sells hardware or craft supplies. These blades are ultrasharp, which is what makes this knife so effective. Unlike most utility knives, this knife is precision built with longevity in mind. And, at just under $50, this is the perfect utility knife to own because it's all the knife you'll need. In fact, as an electrical contractor, I even use it to strip light duty wire and cable while out on the job.
