This easy to install 5A, 120V 360 Degree ceiling mount microwave occupancy sensor by RAYZEEK is well built and works perfectly. It's fairly small and it's really not noticeable up on the ceiling next to the light fixture. As soon as I walk in the room, the lights come on and stay on until I leave the room. This is so incredibly convenient and for the price, is an incredible value. I will be installing many more of these in my apartment units and around my home. So much better than the optical motion sensor I had in my garage. Got this installed on my ceiling and wired in place of the old sensor and it does a much better job of keeping the lights on while I'm working in there. It even seems to be able to detect through some fairly packed shelving that I have placed between me and the sensor at just about any given time.Works with anything that uses the neutral wire, and the settings for the time on or time off are just about as adjustable as the optical motion sensor or, it just does a much better job of keeping track of when someone is actively working. Whereas the optical sensor was constantly looking for a direct line of sight, this one is able to track motion that is in a wider field of view.

This appears to be a well made motion sensor. It is a compact unit and comes complete with mounting hardware, wire nuts and instruction booklet. The cover twists off easily, providing access to the mounting holes and all of the adjustment push buttons. The adjustments are especially convenient, with LED arrays alongside the respective push buttons that clearly indicate the adjustment level and sensor status. Overall, it is a very well thought out design. The housing is sleek, compact and should blend nicely with virtually any décor.Microwave sensors can be somewhat tricky to install due to their inherent sensitivity and their ability to sometimes detect movement through walls, doors and other partitions. The 360-degree coverage can also be more than necessary in some applications, making placement a potential challenge. Fortunately, the sensitivity adjustment can help reduce false triggers in certain situations.The sensor has CE and RoHS markings, although I don't see any UL or ETL markings. Depending on your location and application, this may or may not satisfy local electrical code requirements. It would be wise to check your local codes before installing the sensor.I am happy with this unit in my garage application and feel it offers excellent value. Overall, it is a well-designed, compact, and versatile motion sensor for the price.

This Rayzeek ceiling mounted motion (occupancy) sensor installs easily, has lots of configuration options, and keeps the lights on in an area when needed reliably. The 360 degree microwave sensor allows the sensor to detect motion all around it and even penetrate some barriers like partitions, or thin metal partitions.These are much more useful than the PIR (Passive Infrared) sensors on the wall which only detect a limited range and turn off the lights if one is too still, or too far away.The switch installs easily, has lots of configuration options via buttons behind the easy to remove cover to ambient light sensitivity, sensor sensitivity, and time to leave lights on after motion is no longer detected.

I ordered this Rayzeek ceiling mount microwave occupancy sensor to upgrade my lighting automation. I initially planned it for the laundry room to help deter small, four-legged, long-tailed creatures that tend to mess with things, though I am also considering putting it in the stairwell so the lights turn on automatically every time I head up. Unlike standard PIR sensors, this uses advanced microwave Doppler radar to provide full 360-degree coverage and can even penetrate thin barriers like gypsum board.**Installation & Assembly:**Installation is extremely simple and straightforward. It wires up just like a standard light switch using three standard wires—neutral, load, and hot (white, black, and red). Once mounted, the outer dome cover twists right off and back on easily to give you access to the internal adjustment dials.**Quality & Durability:**The sensor is built from fireproof, heat-resistant materials, giving it a solid and reliable feel. The RAYZEEK microwave motion sensor is designed for installation in a 3 to 4" round ceiling box. It comes with wire nuts and sheet metal screws. The sensor has to be mounted on a junction box by code, so you'll need a pair of 8- 32 machine screws of the proper length to complete the installation. The instructions are good and easy to follow.Installation took just a few minutes after shutting the breaker off for the garage since the ceiling box and wiring were already there. The unit I ordered is rated for 5 amps and there is a 10 amp version available, but I was only switching 50 watts so the 5 amp version was sized right. Once it was powered up it was simple to set the unit up using the buttons on the front of the sensor. The cover twists on and you're all set.This is the third sensor I've installed in the garage and it works so well it'll be the last. I had replaced the old infrared sensor with another PIR sensor by the same company, RAYZEEK, that made this microwave sensor. It was a big improvement over the old sensor, but it was still temperature dependent and had a big blind spot caused by the garage door opener operator. It didn't work when approached at an angle blocked by the garage door opener, and on hot days it sometimes didn't work as well. PIR sensors inherently have their drawbacks, and even a good quality sensor like the RAYZEEK that was installed wasn't the best solution. The microwave sensor doesn't need a heat differential to trigger it, just movement, and it works great.The RAYZEEK sensors are good quality units and the PIR sensor works well for what it is, but for not much more the microwave sensor is the way to go.

I picked up this microwave motion sensor to install in our garage to control the main lighting.The standout feature for me is how user-friendly the adjustments are. The outer ring completely screws off, giving you direct, easy access to the dials where you set the sensor sensitivity, the light threshold, and the timer duration. On a lot of these ceiling-mounted sensors, you have to pry a cheap plastic cover off or struggle to reach recessed pins once it's mounted, so having a simple twist-off ring is a massive plus for fine-tuning it after it's on the ceiling.The build quality feels solid and durable, and the fireproof material gives some peace of mind for garage use. I'm looking forward to getting this hardwired. It looks like it's going to make managing the garage lighting a lot easier.
