Installation was straightforward, each piece replaced the old parts exactly. If you set up properly this can be done without completely draining the tank although I would recommend flushing the tank before installing the kit. No leaks.The water temperature comes set at 120 F and the water was up to temp within the hour. Everything is functioning as expected.

This is a kit with excellent value for electric water heater repairs. All parts of the heating function of the water heater is included and they are actually the most likely parts that could go bad to cause lack of hot water. I wouldn't suggest a tune-up for those parts. These are electrical components. They either work or they don't. I don't think a newer part could work better than an old one. So I would just replace the ones that are not working, instead of the whole kit. With some basic knowledge, it's very easy to DIY repair electric water heaters. Except the socket wrench which can be easily found on Amazon, you don't need special tools to do the replacement. The price is of super great value for the full kit.

Complete water heater set. Included both thermostats and elements. It however does not include the tool to pull the elements. You will need that and a phillips screwdriver and possibly a flathead screwdriver. Simple to change out. Be sure that all power is turned off first. You can replace as needed when something goes out or all at once. The price is fair for what you’re purchasing.

So first impression is the packaging is very sturdy and the parts themselves seem high-quality. This is a good water heater kit because these are the parts that are most likely to fail and every water heater Ive ever worked on used these exact parts, so the functionality with this kit is top-notch. Installation of these parts is always pretty easy because these are standard parts used for decades, so the fit will be spot-on. You set the desired water temperature on the thermostats, it is an easy adjustment. Setting the water to a higher temperature will use more electricity, but the hot water will go a lot further.So overall we have some good parts for a very reasonable asking price. It is really hard to find anything to complain about here, this is just a quality kit that ensures that you can rebuild a faulty water heater as long as the tank itself is holding together. Highly recommended!

I liked that this "tune-up" kit included both heating elements and both thermostats compatible with my Bradford White water heater. I wasn't sure which of my parts was causing the problem with poor heating and this kit made it easy to just replace all four of the possible problem parts at once and with minimal fuss.Do note that this particular kit does not include the tool you will probably need to unscrew the old heating elements and then to install the new ones. If you already have such a tool, great, this particular kit should have everything you need.I didn't have the necessary tool and when I ordered this product, due to a mistake on the seller's part, the description of the item said it included the tool. When I received the product and discovered there was no socket tool included and so I had no way to install the heating elements I contacted the seller. They apologized for the error and immediately sent me another replacement tune-up kit they sell that DOES include the tool.So, two things to take away from that... First, the seller offers excellent customer service. They admitted they had made a mistake and immediately fixed it for me (and I see that the listing for this product description is also correct now). Second, decide if you need the socket tool or not. This particular kit does not include it but the seller has other tune-up kits to sell you that do include it so order the appropriate one.

I was reluctant to order this repair kit fearing it would not fit my 15 year old, 55 gallon, glass lined water heater. However, it fit perfectly with my specialized socket I use to remove and reinstall the heating elements. The thermostats also fit perfectly into their respective slots and the preset temperature settings are just right for my home use.
