This is a solid dust collection hose that I have put to work in the past month. It is durable and very flexible yet still thick enough that there are no cracks or signs of wear and tear and hold great pressure in my dust extractor. The length is perfect for my shop setup as I have it centralized in location and with magnetic universal fittings I have installed on this hose, I can connect to my stationary machines like my bandsaw and planer to my table saw and miter saw. I am debating about getting a second one so I can have a more permanent installation to my table saw which I use a lot that produces a lot of dust. I’m very happy with this product and recommend it to the woodworkers out there!

I received the “Dust Collection Hose 4"x10',Puncture-Resistant,4 in Flexible PVC Fume Hose | For 4 inch Dust Collection System Shop Vacuum Workshop Woodworking Table Saw Band Saw Planer Jointer,w/Carbon Steel Wire Coil”. The item arrived with no apparent damage.This hose is much more flexible than any of my other hoses. I have dedicated this 10’ hose to my drum sander and appreciate that the hose coils up in a tight space for storing on my sander. The dust that my drum sander puts out is very fine, so I have not tested this hose with large chips like a planer or jointer puts out.The inside diameter of this hose is quite a bit smaller than my other hoses. It was a very tight fit getting it onto the port of drum sander and onto the adapter I use to hook to my dust collector. At first, I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to make it fit, but perseverance won out and it did finally go on. The worm drive clamps with thumbscrews seemed like a good idea, but the tail of the clamps kept interfering with the turning of the thumbscrew. I would have been better off having clamps with hex heads and using my driver to tighten and/or loosen them.This hose seems to be well made and I expect it will continue to work fine.At ~$29 at the time of order, this hose is more expensive than many other offerings at retail stores and on Amazon. Check other listings before you purchase this one.

I got this dust collection hose to give my shop vac more reach around my work area instead of having to keep moving the vacuum every time I shift tools or clean up around the bench. It’s a 2.5 inch clear PVC hose meant for smaller shop vac style dust collection setups, and that size made sense for what I needed rather than a larger dust collector hose.The biggest plus for me is the flexibility. It bends and moves around the workspace easily enough that it doesn’t feel like I’m fighting the hose while trying to collect dust or debris. It also feels lightweight for the length, so moving it around is not a chore. At the same time, it doesn’t come across as delicate. The PVC has a durable feel, and the wire coil helps it hold its shape instead of collapsing during normal use.Having the extra length makes the shop vac much more convenient because I can leave it parked in one spot and still reach where I’m working. The included clamps are a nice practical touch for securing the ends, though I’d still check your ports and adapters before ordering since shop vac and dust collection fittings can vary just enough to matter. For my use, this was a simple upgrade that made dust collection easier to manage without adding much weight or hassle.

This dust collection hose is ok, not great. The hose is pretty durable, with a thick wall and a strong metal coil that keeps its shape well under the suction of the dust collector. It does tend to compress to hose when the vacuum is running, but all flexible hoses do the same so that pretty normal.The kit comes with 4 clamps with thumb screws, but the are extremely thin width straps, and do not have the coil bridge of the better quality clamps. The metal straps are only about half the width of a standard pipe strap. This is probably why they give you 4 pieces, because they’re low quality and 1 per connection isn’t good enough to create a sturdy connection. Also if you are unfamiliar with the coil bridge in better quality straps, it really makes a huge difference in the durability of the connection.The hose collapses down to about 3 feet long so it’s pretty easy to store or transport if you need to.The hose wall is made from a rubber-like material, it does generate SOME static but it’s not as bad as rigid plastic pipe. I would definitely recommend connecting the wire to ground to try and mitigate some of that static.So, overall it’s an ok hose for your general hose-shop environment, but I would not use it in any sort of medium to heavy shop.

Since I have been working on updating my vacuum dust management, I decided to get some extra 2-1/2” hose to help manage some of my connections. This product includes a dust collection hose measuring 2-1/2” x 10’ and 4-pieces of dust collector hose clamps. The dust collection hose is translucent that will help to monitor the dust and chip flow, which should help identify possible clogging or buildup in the hose. The hose is made of a tough flexible PVC covering with a wire reinforcement. The hose comes in a compressed format that you can expand and the PVC hose can be cut to length.For my application I needed to make two sections of hose for the connections I needed. The PVC flexible coating of this hose allows it to expand and though thick was easy to cut with a box cutter. Cutting the wire was a little tougher and required a stronger wire cutter. Once cut I was able to quickly connect the 2-1/2” hose to my table saw and to my miter saw and add the quick connect hose couplers by using the provided dust collector hose clamps. Once of the clamps was a little rough when trying to clamp the hose but eventually got it tightened enough.When I received the hose, I was a little concerned it would not be flexible enough or strong enough. After working with this hose, I no longer have any concerns about this hose system. The hose is good quality and strong. The fact that this hose can be modified will make it easier to expand and add additional hose segments.***** Five stars - Exceeded my expectations.
