This Cobbe filtered shower head is an excellent upgrade. The water pressure feels strong, and the multiple spray settings make it easy to customize the shower. I especially like the handheld design and built-in power wash feature. The chrome finish looks sleek and matches my bathroom nicely. Installation was straightforward, and everything feels well made. Great value and a noticeable improvement over my old shower head!

I love the pressure of this shower head. It’s not too hard and not too soft. It’s do perfect for me. It feels really good. I love knowing that there is a filter clearing out impurities, such as chlorine, heavy metals, and other unnecessary pollutants that can affect our skin, and hair.Very easy installations. Came with plumbers tape and everything that is needed to install. Filter is already in the shower head. One thing to note, if you have a really low ceiling in your shower area, you might want to get exact measurements before buying. This was a little too tall for my bathroom and in order to use it, it had to be rotated to the side to use it or take it out of its holder that’s connected to the shower spout. We made it work.

This is a great upgrade to a normal showerhead, and it is a completely reversible upgrade (no permanent alterations) if you don't like it or if you live in a rental.Function: It comes with five modes. Four are on the selection wheel: Off (haven't figured out a use for this), a fine High-pressure mist that I like to call sandblaster mode (I don't use this one either, it's not exactly comfortable), standard multi-stream shower, and a higher-pressure focused mode where all of the streams come together the farther away they are from the showerhead. There is also a switch on the handle that turns off the main showerhead, but at the same time enables what I call pressure washer mode, where a high-pressure narrow stream shoots out the top of the showerhead instead of the front, ready to strip the paint off the walls... I mainly favored the standard mode but sometimes the focused mode. However, the wheel modes can be blended with the modes to either side, making them considerably more useful.Filtration: If you've never used a filtered showerhead and you have hard water like we do in Maryland, you are in for a treat. It's hard to explain, but your skin feels slick with filtered water. I kept trying to wash it off thinking I had soap or something still there until I realized that hard water leaves a film that makes your skin "sticky". It's what I've come to think meant clean. Now I realize I'm much cleaner. Therefore, the filtration is amazing and worth buying the showerhead on that alone.Installation: Installation should have been easy. However, the hanger body is made of either plastic or very soft metal and with the teflon tape it is really easy to cross-thread the connecting hose. I wasn't using a wrench or anything, just my hands, and wasn't having to use much force. But it took me several times to get it right, and by then the thread was nearly destroyed. Maybe I have gorilla hands with massive strength or something but I didn't feel I was using much effort at all. After reading the directions where they warn about leaking there, I took off the tape, put it on straight, and it leaked all over, even worse. So I took it off again, put GOBS of tape around it to compensate for the damaged threads, and then carefully aligned it when screwing on. It hasn't leaked since.Quality: Other than the soft threading issue, it seems to be built well and works great. I would have marked a star down for the useless spray modes but after I figured out you can blend them I don't mind so much.Overall: Recommended. In fact, I am going to buy a second one for our other bathroom. I took one star off for the threading issue and will be more careful next time.

This is one of the best values for $30 around. I can’t believe I never knew I needed this until a couple of weeks ago. I have been dealing with hard water most of my life. I even drank tap water that smelled like chlorine, just like everybody else until about 30 years ago. I do remember staying over at a friend’s house, as a teen, taking a shower and noticing how different the experience was with softened water. Most of us just dealt with the difficulty of working up a lather, cleaning a nasty soap scum residue (or wearing one), having to replace plumbing fixtures way more than one should, cloudy dishes, dingy clothing and difficulty rinsing off in the shower. What’s really weird is that long ago I started using products in the dishwasher to help with hard water, sodium carbonate or borax in the wash, in-line filters for my RV and filtering watering pitchers, but I only just discovered an inexpensive way to improve the quality of the water I shower in! It’s not soft water, but it’s a huge improvement. The shower head replace a huge, clunky shower head with hand shower and valves encrusted with water deposits. The Cobbe shower-head gives a streamlined, clean, elegant look. I like the darker finish that goes very well with the existing nickel-finish plumbing. It’s a good-looking shower head. It was very simple to install. The build is tough and durable, the hose is a good length and flexible. The four spray modes are all really functional, each in its own way and you can pause the stream as well. You can do all of this single-handedly. I REALLY like the jet stream at the top of the head. These together help me get a great job done in less time, with less water. The water pressure is great. The built-in massage brush aids the shampooing process and feels wonderful.Squeaky-clean is a myth. You know, that friction-heavy sensation you get after showering in hard water? You are not actually clean at all. That squeak comes from a thin layer of sticky soap scum—a curd created when the minerals in the water react with your soap. My hair and my skin feel and look so much better with this filtered shower head. I am going to buy one for everyone in my family! Hello Christmas in July! For me, personally, I should change the filter out about once every 6 months since I am the only person who uses it and I am estimating 5 showers per week. The replacement filters are not very expensive at all. This Cobbe filtered shower head is an excellent value.

There are a lot of good things to say about the shower head. First of all, it was very easy to install. The shower mount for the shower head I removed was fixed to the pipe with a plastic connector, which split and was leaking. I was very pleased to see that the shower mount for this unit has a metal connector. The kit also came with some plumbing thread tape, and together with the metal connector, connecting the shower mount to the pipe was easy and leak free. The hose that came with the unit seems to be of good quality, and also was very easy to connect. Although it does not seem quite as heavy duty as the hose on our previous shower head, I do appreciate how much more flexible it is than that one was. The shower head rests easily and nicely in the arm mount. The tension in the arm mount is adjustable. I set it fairly tight, and had no trouble with leaks whatsoever. The water flow through this shower head is excellent. I saw one review claiming that the water pressure was weak. I have not found that to be the case at all. Now, the house in which we presently live has excellent water pressure, so maybe that's part of the reason for great pressure through this shower head. Even so, this shower head produces considerably more water pressure than the one we had previously installed, especially on the first setting. So our shower water pressure is now better, not worse. The shower head also has a high pressure stream that comes from the very top of the shower head, which is an excellent feature not for showering, but for cleaning the shower. It works a lot like a pressure washer.I had never thought about getting a shower head that filters the water, and I haven't used it enough to know what difference that might make. I hear that filtered water can increase the softness of hair and reduce dryness of skin. I hope so. I have to imagine that filtering the water helps reduce calcium and lime deposits, and so on. We'll see how long the filter lasts or if the water pressure starts slowing down when the filter needs to be replaced. But, so far, so good.We were so pleased with this product that we immediately purchased another one for the other shower in our house.

This is a decent shower head, with some nice features, but I was not able to do a full install because the part that connects to the pipe had a defect. It was at an angle and while it's supposed to swivel, it won't budge. There is what looks like a tightening nut, but I could not get it to turn and didn't want to break the part. Fortunately, I was able to install it using my old connector/shower head holder. The settings are fine, but the one that is supposed to pause water flow still dribbles a lot of water. That's unfortunately, because it's a great idea. That way you don't need to shut the water off at the valve and loose your heat setting. I was also disappointed that it's not like the main picture. You can't actually see the stone filters. It's just a solid chrome body. I also have no idea how long the filter is supposed to last. It says it's replaceable, but there is no link on their Amazon page to where you would buy these. The water pressure seems good, even with the filter. I wish the head was a little bigger. My old one provided a wider stream. The absolute standout feature is the spout at the top. When you slide the black button forward, it shoots out a blast of water that feels like a pressure washer. This is great for cleaning your tub and walls. Unfortunately, my son hit it while in the upright position and it blasted our ceiling, so let family members know what the button does before they take showers. So this is a decent unit, but mine had some quality control issues and it wasn't what I was expecting from the main picture. The main product picture should show what the unit you receive actually looks like. Then they can do a very obvious cut away of what's inside the unit on secondary pictures.
