This schoolhouse‑style ceiling light looks perfect in our 1915 home. The milk‑glass shade and vintage profile match the era beautifully, and with our very high ceilings, you only see the classic lines and glass - not the internal components. Once installed, it has exactly the timeless look we wanted.The internal hardware is more budget‑grade than expected. The included wire nuts and mounting hardware aren’t the quality I prefer for a long‑term hardwired installation. Since we’re updating several fixtures, we already had reliable connectors and hardware on hand, and using those made the wiring and mounting feel more secure.The installation itself was straightforward, and with the height of the ceiling and the size of the shade, having a second person to help hold and position it made the process easier.

We've been replacing the light fixtures in our house with the relatively inexpensive LED ceiling lights. The LEDs are clean, modern, and minimalistic. This ceiling light also has those qualities, but it has a real milk-white glass fixture that is extremely attractive. It has a design on the bottom (which you see when you look up) and ridges on the sides. Paired with black metal, it blends in with our black-and-white decor, with colors brought in via accent pieces and bedding/pillows. It is 14.17 inches in diameter and 13.38 inches in height, so it is a little lower than some lights that hug the ceiling. It was easy to put up. My only complaint is that it only takes one bulb. I like a lot of light, and I try to install three-bulb fixtures. It's also on the expensive side, but with extra savings at checkout, the $200 base price is reduced to $170 -- still quite expensive.

Installation was very simple, and all accessories were included. After installation, the light fixture flush against the ceiling, adding a touch of simple elegance to the room. I was pleasantly surprised by how bright and warm the space was.

I am particularly impressed by the vintage schoolhouse design of this ceiling light, especially the combination of the milk glass shade and the black metal base. The installation process was quite simple for me, and the accompanying mounting hardware worked with my standard ceiling junction box. I am also pleased with the standard E26 socket since it allows one to choose the level of brightness and the color of the light emitted by the bulb. The only minor drawback of the fixture is that the bulb is not included, and it would be nice if it were.

No denying this Bgfeoa 14.17in. Milk Glass School House Ceiling Light Fixture possesses an elegant sophistication. The milky glass is quite thick & stout with a good heftiness. Installation was a breeze with no issues. It’s a bit large for our intended area. The light it puts off is surprisingly effective reaching out further than our prior 3 bulb fixture. I say surprisingly because the fixture has a soft ethereal glow about it that radiates a rich warm light throughout our kitchen. It’s a pleasing light that is relaxing & calming. A lovely aesthetic in the evening. Had the base metal been brass then the price would be on point. The gold metal base combines with the stylish textured design of the milky glass to create a dimensional luxe vintage aesthetic. To me it’s giving 1920’s/1930’s Art Deco vibes. Be sure to measure your intended area to be sure it’s not too large for the space.

The metal housing is stamped quite thin, lacking the substantial feel you might expect at this price point. Furthermore, I was disappointed to find a cheap plastic bulb socket inside rather than a more durable, heat-resistant ceramic one.As is unfortunately common with these kits, the included mounting hardware is also very cheap and flimsy. Do yourself a favor and use your own trusted wire nuts and connectors to ensure a safe and secure installation.Final ThoughtsDespite the surprisingly cheap metal, plastic socket, and subpar installation hardware, the overall visual impact of this light is wonderful once it is finally on the ceiling. If you can look past the budget-grade hidden components and slightly inflated price tag, the elegant milk glass globe makes it a truly great statement fixture for a vintage or mid-century space.
