This is a great lock! It is sturdy, black color, and price point is good. I would buy multiple! It comes with a template to show you how to install. My only problem is our barn doors are too far from the trim for this lock to work.

This is an unexpectedly nice feature so you can adapt the latch to whatever wonky door and frame setup you happen to have.On my closet, the door is recessed a little, so I added a few washers from my junk bucket to the back of the catch side to bring it flush with the latch side. If you do this, you'll need longer screws than what was provided with the latch.Overall, this is a great latch with several mounting options, so I'll finally be able to keep those kleptomaniac gnomes out of my closets for good!

I’m happy with this sliding door latch. The aluminum alloy feels sturdy and well made, and the black finish looks nice and matches the door nicely. I like that it can be used at either 90 or 180 degrees, which makes it pretty versatile depending on how you need the latch positioned. It slides smoothly and holds the door securely. Installation was simple and it works better than expected. Definitely a good value for the money.

I picked up this sliding door latch specifically for the reason of my sliding door lock not working correctly. To replace the sliding door lock mechanism would have been almost double the price and it isn't as secure as this sliding door latch. When removing from the package I put the assembly pieces together to see if they had a good fit and finish and slid into the grooves correctly. Everything worked really well and function great it can both be used at a 90° angle or 180° angle which is a great thought from the manufacturer.After installing it using self tapping screws into the metal frame of the sliding door I continue to use the provided stencil kit in order to make sure that the screw holes were going to be in the right place. I fully installed the first piece and the second piece using the 180° method. After that I pushed the door all the way forward held it forward and drilled my second template to make sure I would have a tight seal. I put both pieces in place and secured them with self-tapping metal screws. After this I actuated the locking mechanism and pulled on the sliding door to make sure it was held in the place well. The sliding door did not move the lock was doing exactly what it was designed to do.I've looked at big box stores to see how much these cost that are of similar design and the value that I received picking this up from the Amazon sellers great. Not only did I not have to go hunting for it down the aisles of big box stores I didn't have to use any gas or time it simply got delivered to my location. I would definitely pick this item up again.

I love the versatility of this lock. It can be used several different ways, which is great. I have used another style barn door lock, and it has sharp edges that kept catching as I walk past. This one has much more subtle features, which I see as a huge plus.Love that it comes with a template for the different ways of attaching. I do wish that this was designed in a way so that it would fit on the inside of the door that slides overtop of the wall when closed (if that makes sense). It's just a bit too chunky to work on my door in that way. Luckily, that wasn't how I planned on using this, but worth thinking about.Love the color, feels sturdy. Mounting screws seem ok, but we'll see if they hold up after use.Glad to be using this!
