The aluminum hinge template is the strongest part of this kit. It feels solid and well made, and I used it to clean up and fix some pretty poor hinge work on a few interior doors. It made getting the hinge mortises lined up much easier.The lock and latch template is plastic, which is similar to a lot of other kits in this price range. It works fine, but it doesn’t feel as substantial as the hinge jig.The included hole saws are only average. They worked initially but started getting dull fairly quickly, so I ended up buying better-quality hole saws to use with the kit.Overall, it’s a decent kit for the price, especially because of the aluminum hinge template. I just wish they had included better hole saws.

I started building small custom garden shed and this jig made it alot easier to router out the exact locations i needed for the doors. this turned a 10 minute job into 1 minute job for sure. i'll certainly be putting these to heavy work over the next 3 months making small tool sheds and hunting blinds.

Instructional video is useful and well paced.The included accessory items are comprehensive and well made. The jigs for hole cutting and hinge installation are well designed and have a nice hand. (It's on you to have a drill.)Price of $40 is way better than market value: the two hole cutters alone could cost that much at a retail store.

If you are tired of hand chiseling your door hinges and lock set, get this kit. Using this with a trim router makes the job go pretty fast, but most of all, it just looks soooo much better. Very professional. I love that the main hinge unit is aluminum. I wish that the hole drill guide was metal as well, but not a deal breaker. It also comes with the standard holes saws you need for the door knob and lock set. I love it when you can just get everything in one kit and at this price point, you just can't beat it. I would highly recommend this door hinge jig to anyone. Very happy.
