Great quality and quantity

For our recent paint project, this painter’s tape did exactly what we needed it to do. The tape was easy to apply, stayed securely in place throughout the job, and provided excellent coverage along trim, edges, and other areas we wanted to protect. The 2-inch width was especially helpful because it covered more surface area and made masking faster and more efficient. What impressed me most was how well it performed when it came time to remove it. The tape peeled off cleanly and effortlessly without leaving any sticky residue behind. Even better, the paint stayed exactly where it was supposed to. We experienced very little to no paint bleed underneath the tape, which left crisp, professional-looking paint lines and saved us from having to do touch-ups afterward. The tape also tears easily by hand, making it convenient to work with during larger projects. With six large rolls included, there was plenty of tape for the entire project without worrying about running out. Overall, this is a great value product that delivered clean results, easy removal, and exactly the performance we were hoping for.

Good quality tape at a price comparable to other available options.Good quality tape at a price c...

I'm constantly doing painting projects around the house and for family, so good painter's tape is a must. When I had a chance to review this huge 6-pack of tape I jumped at it. You might think all painter's tape is the same, right? Wrong. The key quality metric for a good tape is how well it controls bleed under the tape when painting. To test this I took a scrap piece of 1x4 clean grade pine board and put two pieces of tape across the board, followed by a brushing of primer in both directions. I use the wood because it is a good product for a bleed test. The surface is not perfectly smooth like drywall, so bleeding is more likely. It also happened to be a convenient piece of scrap that was available. After waiting half an hour I peeled the tape, which came off easily and cleanly, leaving a pretty crisp and clean line between the painted and taped areas. Not 100% perfect, but pretty darn close. So I will not hesitate to use this tape in future projects. While this is pretty good quality tape, the price is right in line with what I can buy 6-packs of other brands like Duck Tape in my local big-box store. As those are US-made I will likely be going the local route in the future. You'll have to decide in that's important to you.

May leave residue on surfaces. There is nothing that justifies buying this tape over known brands.

NO DAMAGE TO PAINT??? That claim didn't hold true in my tests. And it causes concern in reading other reviewers comments. Did they really use it?While I use masking tape for a hundred reasons, I mainly use it for hanging plastic and taping off wood working, interior walls, windows, and doors for trim painting inside a house. Since the cost of this Chinese product is about the same as other common US brands when bought in 5 or 6 pack rolls, I expected it to perform as well. Serious point here ... if you live in the USA and need any product, why would you buy an import product that is inferior for the same price (or close) to a better USA product? Therefore, this examination compares the product with Scotch (Same price), Duck, Frog tape (more expensive), IPG brands, etc. All of which I have used in mass.TEST SETTING: A remodel house - taping off rooms for spraying ceiling primer and texture. Perfect timing for this Vine offering.PLASTIC HANGING: 3 MIL and 1 MIL plastic from top corners, around HVAC, kitchen cabinets, etc.General trim tape off of wood stained door jams. All 6 Rolls were used in this house.RESULTS: Tape performed almost as good as Scotch or Duck on well painted semi-gloss and gloss surfaces. However, flatter sheen paints (egg shell / satin) were not well received. While no paint came through the tape (big plus there), about 35% of taped off area had paint peeled off when removed! And in 10% of areas, the adhesive backing of the tape was left on the walls, enough that it required scrubbing. It was enough of a problem that it required hours of repairing (drywall mud skim), priming, and finally new paint in those areas. In taping plastic to wood trim or to more plastic, it worked as expected. However, it left some adhesive on more porous surfaces. This is a characteristic of cheaper tape brands from my experience.BOTTOM LINE: There is nothing that justifies buying this tape over another brand that you are already familiar with. In fact, it cost me extra time (which is money) in repairing the mess left behind. I recommend you buy a brand that you are already familiar with if the application really matters. And be skeptic of reviews where there are no clear details of application and result testing.

Good Adhesion and Clean Removal

[Color: Yellow]
This painter’s tape has a useful balance between sticking securely and removing without damaging the surface underneath. The two-inch width provides generous coverage along trim, baseboards, windows, and other areas that need protection while painting. The tape tears cleanly by hand and is easy to position in long, straight sections. It presses down well along the edges, which helps prevent paint from bleeding underneath when the surface is properly prepared. It also removes cleanly without leaving excessive adhesive residue or pulling off sound, fully cured paint. With six 55-yard rolls, this package provides plenty of tape for larger painting projects. It is also useful for automotive masking, labeling, crafts, and temporarily securing protective coverings. This is a versatile tape set that performs well and offers a good amount of material for the price.

We ordered this for kids to use when doing crafts. It sticks well and is fairly cheap. I like how the painters tape doesn't peel and shred like masking tape does. I can't say how it does with actual painting but for holding papers together and sealing bags of chips the adhesive is strong enough and works well! I like the color and how it is different and brighter than the typical blue or green you see.

Holds well peels off easy.Holds well peels off easy.

I haven’t used it for painting but this tape works well for household projects. It has enough adhesive to hold securely, but it’s still easy to peel off when you’re finished and didn’t leave a residue. It also tears easily by hand, which makes it convenient to work with. The tape itself is a little on the thin side compared with some heavier painter’s tapes I’ve used, but it still gets the job done. I used it to secure rolled rugs and it held them together without a problem.Overall, a good value considering you get six large rolls.

Great Value and Peeled Off Cleanly After Painting

[Color: Yellow]
I used this painter's tape in my garage while painting the walls gray, and it worked really well. It was easy to apply where I needed it and stayed in place throughout the painting process. The biggest thing I look for with painter's tape is how well it comes off afterward, and I had no problems with this. It peeled off nicely when I was finished without being a hassle or causing issues with the surfaces I had protected. The 2-inch width is also really useful because it gives you a generous amount of coverage compared with narrower tape. It worked great for protecting areas around the garage while I painted and made the job a little easier. You get six large rolls for under $30, which I think is a great deal considering how quickly painter's tape can get used up on a bigger project. Having multiple rolls on hand meant I wasn't worried about running out halfway through the job.Overall, this worked exactly as I needed it to. It applied well, peeled off cleanly after painting my garage walls, and you get a lot of tape for the price. Great value for anyone with a larger painting project!

Gentle Adhesive and Easy Visibility

[Color: Yellow]
This masking tape has a mild adhesive that sticks well without pulling up paint or leaving residue, and the bright yellow color makes it easy to see while you’re working. It’s straightforward to use and comes at a fair price for the amount you get. A solid, dependable option for general painting and labeling tasks.
