Small Lamp Shades Mini Square

These lamp shades are lightweight and have a metallic, glittery sheen to the exterior. They're actually quite nice from far away. However, the quality - or lack thereof - is more apparent when you take a second look...and especially when they are lit up from a bulb. The bottom portion of the lamp shades cast weird shadows all along the edges, no matter which way you rotate them. The side seams are also a bit open-looking, as you can see from photos.The lamp shades assemble by snapping the little hooks into place on the top and bottom, which I think is cool and efficient. They were relatively easy to snap together in less than 5 minutes. Crazy-easy and compatible to affix to any standard lamp with a standard finial, and you're good to go.They will probably fit better with a medium sized lamp, no bigger than 19" (I think mine in the photo are 24".)

These lamp shades have some good points and some opportunities for improvement. They ship flat, so you do have to assemble them. The shade is one continuous piece with a small overlapping seam. That does create a small vertical line of darker luminance, but generally you can hide that on the back side away from sight. The upper and lower hoops are thin metal and the shade clips onto the hoops. They’re not exactly the greatest looking, but if you just need a simple, generic shade, then they’re fine.One issue you will run into is that these are only compatible with lights that have a banjo and finial stud on top of the bulb. If your light is the type that holds the shade BELOW the bulb, they won’t work for you.Light consistency wise, they’re pretty generic, and the grey color matches better with higher kelvin temperatures like 4000K and above. If you have a warm bulb below 4000K, you will find some clashing in the grey color, and would probably be better off with a tan shade instead.
