I’ve purchased and used SUNVIE landscape lights for a long time and have been very satisfied, so I was happy to see this 3 Zone transformer become available to evaluate.Having multiple zones for your lighting adds flexibility, and having all three of those zones in one transformer adds simplicity.This transformer is well built and feels substantial. Made form stainless steel with a latching weather resistant cover it is well suited for outdoor use. The 200-watt capacity, while being the total shared for all 3 zones, still provides ample power especially if you limit your landscape lighting fixtures to the 3-5 watt range. Using the 80% load rule that gives you roughly 32, 5-watt fixtures or 53, 3-watt fixtures on one zone, or to divide up between the 3 zones.I like their cable management and simplified, spring loaded connections. Again, looks to be top quality. I also like the 14 volt terminal option, allowing you to minimize voltage drop on those long cable runs.I won’t get into all the available programing options, that you can read in the Ad Copy on the Amazon site, but what I can add is that if there is a power failure, when the power comes back on it will go back to whatever program was in place. This is also useful if you are in the manual mode and have the unit set to “ON”. In that case you have the option to bypass the internal programing features, and run in on your home “Smart Plug” programing, giving you that added flexibility for more programming capabilities and voice commands, for at will “ON and OFF” commands.I am very happy with the quality and flexibility of this transformer.

Its been used a month as of this review and the product is solid. The steel case, the inputs, the functionality, everything feels premium without the hefty price tag. So far I have used 2 zones, one on 12v and the other on 15v with small loads. The 15v zone is about 100 ft out in the front and has no issues with power output. The zone timers are set to turn on with dusk [photocell] and turn off at 1:30 and 2:20 am at night. The installation and set up was super easy

I bought this SUNVIE 200W transformer for my outdoor landscape lights. It converts 120V to 12V or 14V AC and has three separate zones, which makes it easy to control different areas independently.It includes a timer and photocell sensor that turns the lights on at dusk and off at dawn or on a schedule. Consequently, the ground has become so hard that I can’t properly install the lights I’ve chosen. However, this transformer will be one of three. The others are , and that will enhance this remarkable landscape. I’m genuinely impressed with all the features included in this transformer. The case is incredibly sturdy and durable, equipped with a secure latch and lock for added protection.The landscape lights I’ll be using range from 5 W to 10 W. The 10 W this transformer will be dedicated to serve multiple purposes. During the holiday season, they can be colored, while the rest of the time they match the warm white of the .Installing this transformer is straightforward if you’ve done one before. This is a really nice 200 W 12 V landscape transformer ('driver') which is used as part of a landscape lighting installation to provide the necessary 12V power which LEd bulbs use. It is attractive in your garden and easy to mount.It is stainless encased and has a secure latch which makes it safe to use outdoors in the weather. Regardless of the built in protection, it is still a good idea to try to install this in a protected area if possible to prolong the life as direct sun and other environmental issues can take a toll on even a well protected unit.Sunvie makes two versions of this unit--one with screw connectors and the other (this one) with lever style terminals. They are otherwise the same.200 Watts means about 160 useable watts in practice as sellers want you to use no more than 80 percent of the rated capacity. Note that 300 and 500 watt drivers are readily available at slightly higher prices (from this and other sellers) and if you are intending to expand your lighting, it may be worthwhile to just get a higher wattage unit for future expansion.A useful option is a choice of 12 or 14V at the connector which can be useful to counter voltage drop on long runs of wire. At 14V, you are more likely to light up the LEDs at the end of the run but make sure that your fixtures can handle the higher rating.This unit has three useable zones which can be controlled by the internal clock independently. You can divide the useable wattage in any way that you like (including all on a single zone if you want.) There is no smart home technology in this unit which would allow you to control the zones using Alexa, Google or any other protocol. I think that is a negative and the seller should consider adding that feature on future models. A separate included photocell can be used to turn the lights on and off according to daylight and the photocell can be mounted up to 6 feet away from the unit.Installation is straightforward and programming the unit through the clock is well thought out and easy to do.Note that no lights or wiring is included in this kit.I have had very good experience with this brand over the years and currently have two of these units installed in my own home with no issues whatsoever.
