These DT connectors look high-quality and feel strong and durable. The two ends snap together with a satisfying click. I can feel the rubber gasket inside compressing for a watertight seal. The two connectors came with stainless-steel slide-on brackets for mounting, which is convenient (see photo). The conductor is made from tinned copper, making these connectors suitable for marine applications. I got these for use on a small boat used mostly in saltwater. They should work well.

finally... actual copper wirevery impressed with this connector kit, especially for the price. the wire is thick 10 awg and most importantly it is actually tinned copper, not that aluminum pretending to be copper garbage that keeps showing up everywhere. beware of the cheap stuff because it may look close in pictures but it is absolutely not the same thingthe connectors feel solid, seals look decent and the male/female plugs fit together nicely. I really wish I had these before my last wiring project because they would have saved me some aggravation and probably a few creative wordsI have not installed them yet so this review is based on the wire, connectors, fit and overall build quality. I will update later after they have been used properly, but I honestly dont expect any issues based on what I can see and feelas for waterproof... I wouldnt splice these onto a submarine and expect them to live under the ocean forever, but they appear more than adequately water resistant for normal automotive, truck, boat or outdoor wiring use when assembled correctly. good seals, good wire and nothing feels flimsyits just nice to see a quality product being offered for once. sure better may exist, but so does MUCH worse... price vs product these are an easy 5/5 stars

The connectors are strong, fit together securely, and are able to be unplugged (when needed) by depressing the lock tab. In addition the wires used are factory labeled, heavy duty, stranded tinned copper size 10 AWG. Also the heavy duty slide on metal mounts (which are not pre-installed) can be installed if needed and once installed are extremely secure and are next to or impossible to remove.• Ease of useThese cables are quite easy to use, all you do is (1) connect the red positive (+) wire to the positive (+) terminal of a 12V/24V battery, (2) connect the black negative wire (-) to the negative terminal of a 12V/24V battery and now that end is ready to use.Then (3) take the end of a pair of these wires with the matching connector to the previous wires connector and (4) connect the red positive (+) wire to the red positive (+) wire of the 12V/24V item to be powered, (5) connect the black negative (-) wire to the black negative (-) wire of the 12V/24V item to be powered and now that end is ready to use.And now all you do is plug the two connectors together and that is it. If you later want to disconnect the plugs, simply depress the lock tab on top of the male plug and they can be easily disconnected.Also if you want to use the heavy duty slide on metal mounts. These mounts slide on tightly to the bottom of the female plugs and once in place they are extremely locked in. I tried to pull them off by hand and then with pliers and they wouldn’t budge (maybe there is a trick to it I am unaware of). So if you need to use this type of mount and need them to be super secure, then these are an excellent choice.• FunctionI tested this pair of cables (one at a time) by connecting them to a stand alone 12V battery and then connected the load end of the cables to a 12V 1157 P21/5W bulb socket and everything worked perfectly. The bulb illuminated normally with no flickering or anything unusual.I didn’t have any high load items to test with these cables but because the wires are 10 AWG wires they are capable of handling 30 to 40 amps (360 to 480 watts at 12V or 720–960 watts at 24V).• ConclusionSo that basically covers it and the bottom line for this pair of 10 AWG tinned copper cables with 2 pin DTP connectors is they are high quality, easy to use and work well.
