These outdoor wall lights were a nice upgrade for our walkway area. The black finish has a clean, modern look, and the warm white light is bright without being harsh. It gives off enough light, but still looking softer than a cool white outdoor light.They feel well-made and look good once installed. The slim shape sits close to the wall, so they do not look bulky or dated. The light spreads evenly down the wall and gives the area a more finished appearance at night.The waterproof design is also a good fit for an outdoor location. At the coupon and sale price, this two-pack is a very good value. You get a modern look, good brightness, and two matching fixtures for less than many single outdoor sconces cost. (I still don't understand the remote/RC mention in the instructions?)

This is going to be a complicated review and I will explain why I say that. First off, the fixtures are very attractive and will help to give my home a much needed boost out of the 70's lighting styles. I installed one of the lights tonight on the side porch that I use most often for entering and exiting my home. There are 2 lights, one on either side, and these will replace them for a more modern, cleaner and brighter look. I love that about them.Now for the rest of the story... I am a 65 year old widow who has just a little bit of knowledge about electrical stuff. Probably enough to keep me from undertaking anything that would get me into trouble, and know when to call for help. But I can hang lights all day, and have replaced a lot of them lately. It is important to me to actually install the fixtures before I write a review. This way, if I encounter any issues, I can share them to help other buyers either to make an informed choice or to know what expect when they install theirs. I was determined to hang these today, and being a woman, I read the instructions. And I got to a part about a remote control wire. I didn't recall seeing a remote control in the box, (by the way, these were packed in possibly the most sturdy box I have ever received anything in!). So I checked the box again, and didn't see anything but I noticed there was also a label/sticker on the top of the box that states "ATTENTION! Remote control without battery. Please contact us for quality issues". But there was not a remote control. I opened the listing page to see if maybe they mention a remote. Nope. Nothing. But there is an image of a person that implies they are using an app on their phone to control these lights. Wow! That would be awesome, but where is the info about it? I couldn't find anything. Oh well, I figured I would just get it installed. The instructions stated that the wiring was the typical (for the US) Black for Live, White for Neutral, and Green for Ground. And again, they mention a wire called RC Receiver. There they go again, talking about some kind of remote, when there isn't one. I go to start connecting wires and realize that the wires for the fixture are not black, white, and green. They are brown, blue, and yellow/green stripe. What? I had to research this to learn that these are international wiring colors. Maybe some people know this, but I didn't. So at least they were okay, and I proceeded to do the installation. I always take a magnet with me to hold the screws so they don't fall and get lost. That's when I realized the magnet was sticking to all of the parts of this fixture, but wait..... didn't it clearly state at least a half dozen times on the listing that this fixture is made of "premium quality die cast aluminum" so it would be rust and corrosion proof? Magnets don't stick to aluminum! So this fixture is steel. It has a nice powder coating, but it could still rust with exposure to moisture. Of course, I dropped the 2 tiny black mounting screws somewhere on my porch and could not find them. That meant digging through my stash of odds and ends of screws to find a couple that fit. Thankfully I lucked out and I got one installed. It looks great and I love the downlight so it isn't in my eyes. I will install the other one tomorrow and at least that one will go much faster, especially if I don't lose those tiny screws! If it had not been for all of the inaccuracies about the fixture (aluminum, remote, wiring) I would have given this 5 stars. I hope the manufacturer and seller will see this constructive feedback and make the corrections to their listing, and the instructions, to ensure that future buyers are not misled about this product. And if there is any chance they could add remote capability through a phone app, that would be amazing! Sometimes when you get home later than expected, it would be nice to have the ability to turn the outdoor lights on from my phone. Hope they will add this feature! Pic 1 is front and back of the fixtures. Pic 2 shows the side view of 1. Pic 3 part of the instructions, #4 mentions the remote wire. Pic 4 the other side of the instructions where it states the wire colors along with the RC receiver wire. Pic 5 shows the actual colors of the fixture wires that do not match what the instructions state. Pic 5 is the before of my side door with the old fixtures. Pic 5 shows the new fixture installed on the left. and Pic 6 is that box it came in. It is solid, not corrugated, and has dense foam glued to the top and bottom to ensure the fixtures were not damaged! Pic 6 I have come back to edit my review just to add the 2nd light that I installed today. Went much faster since I knew what I was dealing with on the wires. The fixtures do not sit flush against the stone wall, but I don't care. I might go back to revisit how they are installed to see if I can improve it, but not until the Texas temps are down in the 70's! It doesn't bother me enough to ...

These outdoor lights are really nice!I love the quality of the materials used to make them.The metal is a decent thickness and seems really durable.The black coating is applied well and doesn't flake or chip off at all.The sleek design is very modern and I love how it directs the light downward. This is great for the side of a house, a pathway, or even a garage.The instructions for installation and use are very simple and they are pretty easy to understand. It's a pretty basic light with basic installation needs.I really like these and I love the downward direction of the light. Perfect for what I need!
