Great little tool

[Color: Yellow]
Was a bit skeptical, but for $30 tus is probably one of the best tools I've owned. I was able to cut through fiber glass and a 1/8 inch steel plate using the diamond wheel. I've used many of the different bits and sanding drums and all the accessories seem to be of very good quality. I especially like the whip extension that makes it very easy to use and control as well as the variable speed. You can't go wrong for the price.

Worked well

Nice little tool, the speed setting has a tendency to creep and get faster and faster but it didn't effect my use of it, otherwise it seemed to work well. Has a nice little package of attachments for it. Great for light work. Kind of loud on the high end of the speed setting and feels like it's about to explode, but I was only testing it and don't see myself needing that rpm anyway.

Five Stars for Price Value

For the price - this is a great addition to my small home shop. It's a very complete rotary tool package, that even include a flex-shaft attachment! The quality is good. As in not bad, not great. It's strong, a bit heavy, and runs well. One noted fault... After using the larger sized drum sander for a short time - the drum no longer turns when minimal pressure is applied. Not a big deal - it might need a drop of adhesive on the drum/shaft to lock it again.Would I recommend this item? Yes. For occasional use like I am doing when cleaning up prototype parts - it works well.

Excellent performance and value

[Color: Yellow]
A rotary tool is something I need occasionally, but not often. So dropping over $100 for the Dremel brand plus another chunk for their accessories, bits, pads, etc is a large pill to swallow for what can best be described as a recreational or hobbyist use case. In comes this unit, $30 for the tool and a whole ton of things to go with it.And frankly, having used Dremels before, I don't notice a difference. This performs equally if not better, it feels quite solid in build quality, it spins hard and has a RPM range suitable for everything you could want to use it for, the motor doesn't bog down, the collets hold, and I had no issues whatsoever with it during a good hard day's use on multiple polishing applications, it didn't overheat, slow down, or stop at any point. For most of that hard day's use, I was using the pen attachment which also worked very well. The speed is easily adjusted via a dial and can be done with your thumb while holding the unit running. This comes with enough pieces that it can be used in almost any manner you can imagine, cutting, sanding, drilling, heavy polishing, fine polishing, shaping and whittling, whatever. There's nothing proprietary either, there's collets included for using any aftermarket accessories out there.Really happy with this unit. It's powerful, easy to use, and I think it's an excellent value for the price.

****Update***The seller read my review and contacted me to give a full refund! Wow this is amazing Customer service and very welcome and refreshing in this time of "caveat emptor," where we buyers are so often left hanging! Kudos to this seller for doing the right thing! ****In my line of work: maker, bladesmith, luthier, and carpenter I use this type of tool very frequently. When this first arrived, I was blown away by the value of getting so much for so little outlay. Generally speaking, this was working as well or better than the original tool, and more affordable. I was most impressed that it included the wand, as I do a ton of fine detail work and carving.Sadly, that all ended yesterday when my bit stopped rotating and the motor started squeaking as I smelled plastic melting. I turned it off and found that the shaft in the wand had broken and it was unusable. Also the jacket had melted. The actual tool itself still works fine, but without the wand it is just another mini tool, of which I have several. Sadly, I'm past the return window, so I'll just have to eat the loss.Like I stated before, this is generally a good value, and you may want to consider it for your needs. But there are other drawbacks as well: Aside from my wand now being broken, it was a PITA to change bits on th wand. You need to put the shaft of another bit through a hole in order to tighten or loosen th bit. Although this works fine, it is a bit fiddly. Also the bits that the provide are lower quality than the name brand as well as other bits offered here on Amazon. All in all, I would suggest this tool as i think that the broken shaft was an anomaly, but proceed at your own risk!
