I've been trying to get some kind of light to work for my overhead wall mounted bins, but they're all "flat," for lack of a better descriptor. They adhere to the ceiling and face straight down, but I need them at about a 45 degree angle to illuminate the front and down into the bins, which is where these come in. They are triangular in shape and have one side illuminated to reflect out and down which is much better for coverage than a thin flat strip.The kit itself comes with absolutely everything. Thin sheet metal brackets with screws to clip them into or double-sided tape to mount the lights, extension leads for the lights for more complicated setups that need longer runs, adhesive backed cable clips to organize the leads and an extension lead for the power plug's barrel jack. This should cover just about every scenario, there is definitely no lack of cable length or organization in this setup.The included LED controller and remote give you a very good range of lighting options including color temperature and brightness. I was able to easily dial these in to match the color temp of the rest of my work area so they don't look out of place or odd with a different color light. They blend in great and it's one nice uniform color across the bench and shelves.The quality of the LED bars themselves is definitely cheaper, but they're perfectly serviceable and I have no complaints. The kit makes up for it in how thorough it is with mounting options and clips for tidying up the install. They've been running pretty much non-stop since it showed up and it makes a huge difference when I'm trying to pull out tiny parts from densely populated bin drawers.Definitely a bit of an oddball setup, but I am very happy with them. These are the only lights I have found so far that fill the very niche role I needed them for and I am very pleased with the results.

I have stainless steel wire shelving in my home office and a large shelf that I use for projects could use some better lighting, so I ordered these "Lumtide Black Shelf Lights" to illuminate that area.This kit consists of four lamps, each of which is about a foot long. Also included is a power supply, some extension wires, some stick-up wire guides, some sticky tape (looks like 3M) and a remote control.I tested the lights to make sure they work before going through the trouble to wire them up on my shelves. That went fine. I like the fact that each light has a long lead and I didn't have to use the extensions, and there is a central 6-port box attached to the WiFi/Bluetooth/IR controller, so I guess I could add two more lights to this set, should they be sold separately.I then attached them to my wire shelves: two on the top work shelf, and one over each of my printers to help me change paper or add ink. While there are many ways to mount them, for now, I just used thin wire ties.The lights can be controlled from an iPhone using an app called "Surplife". As is my practice, I ask my paid-for AI chatbot about each app, and have avoided installing some suspicious apps in the past this way (be wary of apps for label printers in particular). For "Surplife", it says the app is legitimate, made by 明长 周" / Zengge — a well-known Chinese OEM behind the "Magic Home" family of smart-lighting app.the privacy policy says it does not collect any data and is actively updated. However, there is a popup that says the app may use your location even when the app is not open", which is because the iOS requires location permission to scan for nearby WiFi networks and Bluetooth devices. So be sure to say "Allow once" or "Ask Next Time" to avoid granting this permission permanently. It should only be required during setup. And put these devices on a separate "Internet of Things" (IOT) network so they can't reach your sensitive info.Based on this, I did install the app, granting it one-time location access with "Ask Next Time". It was very straight-forward and did not ask me to create an account or supply any personal information, although as the chatbot points out, access to WiFi/Bluetooth can be used to build a profile and identify my household.The reason I did this is I wanted to connect the shelf lights to Amazon Alexa, as I have "her" control the lights in my office -- when I say "Alexa, Lights" to the echo device in my office, it turns on the overhead light and some spotlights. I wanted the shelf lights on as well.To make this work, I did have to create a login but fortunately "Suplife" allows an obfuscated Apple ID to be used, so I didn't have to give my primary email. Once I did that, I clicked the "Alexa" button in the app and my "Shelf Lights" appeared in Alexa and I was able to add it to my "office". Now when I say "turn on the lights" in my office, they come on as well, and when I say "dim the office" when I work at night, they dim to 20% along with the rest of my lights.Overall, this is a good set of lights and works perfectly for my application at what I think is a reasonable price. They were easy to wire up, the app looks decent, and they work with Alexa voice commands.

This is a good kit of shelf lights that can provide good controllable illumination for a cabinet or other enclosure. Having both the remote and an app to use gives you a lot of options. Also the Google Home and Alexa option for voice activation opens the possibility to incorporate this light group with a larger home automation and lighting system so it can work in tandem with other functions like automatic timing or triggers from other devices. The color quality is good on all settings with no flicker or other annoyances and the light brightness and quality are very good. The design of the light bars allows for placement without glare which is really desirable in LED lighting. You can concentrate on lighting the contents of a cabinet or showcase and not worry about the light in your eyes issues. It comes with all of the wiring and connectors, power supply and full instructions. It's very nice to have a cabinet with items of personal importance well lighted to be able to view better even in the daytime. But it's especially attractive at night and totally adjustable for brightness and color tint to match your environment, and can bring a higher level of elegance to a room overall.

I got these lights to stick onto the back of my monitor for some rear-bias lighting, to help with eye strain when staring at a dark wall. It helped, but even on the brightest setting it’s not quite bright enough for that purpose. That said, this wasn’t the intended use case, so I’ll cut them some slack there.They’re easy to assemble — each light connects to the hub, and there’s quite a bit of cable length, so you could set these up on shelves of varying height with the hub positioned somewhere in the middle. I tried photographing the different color “temperatures,” from cool to very warm, but my phone’s auto white balance flattened everything into a neutral white, so the difference isn’t easy to capture on camera. I do like that the lights have a quick, high-quality-looking fade when transitioning between settings.I’ll likely end up re-wiring these for shelf use instead of behind my monitor. The included double-sided tape is very strong, so I skipped the screws since it’s mounted on the back of a monitor; the tape backing was a little tricky to peel off, but manageable. The wireless remote works well, though it didn’t come with the 2 AAA batteries needed to power it. The companion app is easy to use and seems fairly reliable. Overall, I’m happy with these lights.
