Nice GFCI outlet with a clean look and a very useful built-in night light. The gold finish gives it a more finished/decorative look than a plain white outlet, and the included screwless wall plate keeps everything looking clean once installed. The built-in LED night light is the big bonus here. Great for a bathroom, kitchen, hallway, garage, or anywhere you want a little low-level light without plugging in a separate night light. The self-test GFCI function and indicator light are nice features, and the tamper-resistant design is always a plus. Installation is pretty straightforward if you’re comfortable with electrical work, but obviously this is one of those “know what you’re doing or call someone who does” items. Overall, it looks good, works well, and adds a useful feature without taking up an outlet. Solid 5 stars.

I'm very pleased with this GFCI outlet. It feels hefty and robust, meaning the parts I can't see are likely solid. The best part is how easy they make installation. The back is clearly labeled with line (power back to breaker) and load (to other outlets, only if needed), and with hot (black) and white. It's hard to goof it up. Even better, the wire terminals are designed so that you can insert straight wires in the back, but instead of compression fit, you tighten the screw to hold it. This is the easiest AND most secure in my opinion. And the ground is the same way. It's not excessively deep, so it doesn't take up the whole electrical box.It worked without a hitch (after I remembered to push the reset button). My tester confirmed proper wiring and the GFCI test on my tester tripped it correctly. The screwless face plate looks nice and is a nice touch. It's also a more secure screwless faceplate than all the others in my house, so even better. It hooks over the top and the catch at the bottom is strong, requiring a flat screwdriver to pop it back off.I'm not a professional, but I've installed/replaced a lot of outlets and switches over the years, including GFCI, and this is by far the best one.

I installed this GFCI outlet in the bathroom, and it has been a nice little upgrade in both safety and convenience. It would also be a good choice for a kitchen, laundry room, or other area where moisture is a concern. The space gray finish has a surprisingly nice look. It feels a little more refined than a basic white outlet without being as heavy-looking as black. The screwless wall plate is another nice touch—it sits flat against the wall and gives the whole installation a much cleaner, more modern appearance.Installation went fairly smoothly, and everything fit together well once installed. The self-test GFCI feature gives me some extra peace of mind, and the LED indicator makes it easy to tell the outlet’s status at a glance. I also like the tamper-resistant design, especially in a home with kids, since the built-in shutters help prevent objects from being inserted into the slots. The built-in night light is probably my favorite feature. The light is soft rather than harsh, so it provides just enough illumination for a late-night trip to the bathroom without making the room feel overly bright. It also turns on and off automatically based on the surrounding light, which means there’s no need to plug in a separate night-light or use up another outlet.

This Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) is a safety electrical outlet normally installed in any room where water may be near, especially bathrooms. For non-electricians, a GFCI would turn off instantly and automatically if an electricity leak occurs. A common example: You have a working hair dryer in your hand but accidentally drop it into the bathroom sink filled with water. The electricity in the hair dryer tries to leak into the sink water and this is detected by the GFCI, which instantly shuts off and stops feeding current to the hair dryer. Result: No danger of electrocution. A normal outlet would not detect this electricity leak and would continue feeding current to the hair dryer (and water), and causing harm to anyone who touches the water. This GFCI has several nice features:* a built-in night light* a green LED that confirms it passed its self test and is working correctly* a screwless cover that looks sharper than a conventional outlet plateIt's an attractive and reliable safety device, typically installed in bathrooms, and I recommend it.

The nightlight is the feature of this GFCI outlet that sets it apart from others/cheaper ones. The light turns on by itself dusk to dawn so it just always works and you can find your outlet in the dark, or, just use it for a little light to be able to see when you don't want to have to turn a light on. It's perfect for a bathroom and it's safe to use in wet locations like kitchens, laundry rooms, garages, etc. It comes with a black matching faceplate. I'm not an electrician but my dad is so I was able to install this myself. It's not hard. Watch a couple videos and be sure the power is turned off to the outlet you're working on. I connected this to a 15 amp circuit - the stats on this are: Rated 15A, 125V, 60Hz; Feed Through Rating 20A; ETL ListedThis is such a great idea having a light built into the outlet so you can still have both plugs open. There is also a little green light to indicate it's protected. You can plug higher wattage items into this such as a hairdryer, coffee maker, or space heater and have more safety than a regular outlet.

This is a product review I did not know I needed to write but here we are and I have no regrets.Installation was fairly straightforward and I would call it beginner friendly with one caveat — the screws strip a little too easily for comfort. Take it slow, do not muscle them, and you should be fine. Better quality screws would have been a nice touch for what is otherwise a solid product.I installed this on the floor next to my toilet specifically for my bidet and it is an absolutely perfect application. The built in night light is the real star of the show here. It is not one of those aggressive night lights that floods the room and wakes your entire brain up at 3am. It is just enough light to navigate a basement bathroom with no windows and zero other light sources without stubbing a toe, making poor decisions, or disturbing your night vision enough to regret the whole trip.Gentle. Functional. Tamper resistant. Anti false trip protection so it is not going to randomly decide to stop working at an inconvenient moment. Screwless wall plate for a clean finished look.Honestly for a bathroom outlet that quietly does its job and lights the way in your most vulnerable moments, this one earns high marks. The screws could be better but the outlet itself is exactly what it promises to be.

I ordered this Lider GFCI outlet to bring a bathroom up to code and to have a built-in night light as well. My handyman did the installation and found the outlet to be solid and sturdy. The instruction booklet is detailed and clear. The outlet's nickel color with matching wall plate coordinates with the other fixtures in my bathroom. Other color choices include black, white, gray, and gold, which make it easy to coordinate with the decor of any room. I especially like the built-in night light which is actually dual LED guide lights, as shown in the attached photo. Those overnight bathroom trips are so much easier and safer, and you don't have to sacrifice outlet space to a separate night light. The outlet night light operates from dusk to dawn. It stays off during the day and turns on automatically as ambient light drops. The outlet automatically tests itself every 5 seconds. The continuous auto-monitoring detects ground faults much faster than standard manual monthly testing. If the internal circuitry fails a self-test or can no longer provide protection, the outlet either trips and denies power or flashes its LED indicator light to alert you that it needs to be replaced. If the LED indicator light glows a solid green, then the outlet is working properly. The outlet also has built-in reset and test buttons which are clearly labeled and easy to use. My two concerns are the price point and the warranty. Most of the GFCI outlets on Amazon are priced between $10 and $14. Even the top brands with built-in night lights are typically $18 to $24 and come with a 3-year warranty. This Lidor GFCI outlet is $30, but has just a 1-year warranty like the cheaper models. I would encourage the manufacturer to offer a 3-year warranty like the other high-end manufacturers. This Lider GFCI outlet is a dependable, high-quality product that I would recommend to anyone needing to bring their electrical system up to code.

I installed this LIDER GFCI in a garage location where I wanted both dependable protection and a low‑profile night light, and it delivers on both fronts. The outlet feels solidly built, and the reset and test buttons have a firm, confident action that doesn’t feel mushy or cheap. A standard outlet only passes power through; it has no awareness of whether current is leaking to ground. A GFCI continuously monitors the difference between the hot and neutral conductors, and if even a few milliamps divert through a person or a wet surface, it trips in milliseconds. That’s the entire reason these devices exist: they dramatically reduce the risk of shock in bathrooms, kitchens, garages, laundry rooms, and anywhere water or grounded surfaces increase the hazard. For any circuit serving a “wet” or “damp” location, a GFCI isn’t just a convenience—it’s a critical layer of protection. This unit’s self‑test function is important because GFCIs can silently fail over time. The automatic self‑test verifies that the internal detection circuitry is still responding correctly, and the LED indicator gives immediate feedback on protection status. That’s a meaningful improvement over older GFCIs that rely solely on manual testing. The mechanical build quality is solid. The reset and test buttons have a firm, positive feel, and the tamper‑resistant shutters operate smoothly without fighting the plug. The anti‑interference design is also worth noting. Some GFCIs are prone to nuisance tripping when motors, fans, or switching power supplies inject noise onto the line. This one has been stable even with a bathroom exhaust fan and a hallway air purifier on the same circuit. The integrated night light is a surprisingly useful addition. Because it’s built into the sides of the receptacle, it provides ambient illumination without occupying outlet space or creating the clutter of a plug‑in night light. The dusk‑to‑dawn behavior works exactly as expected and adds convenience without any interaction.Installation was straightforward. The included screwless wall plate snaps on securely and gives the outlet a clean, modern appearance. Once installed, everything has been reliable with no false trips and consistent LED status indication.Overall, this is a well‑engineered GFCI that combines fast fault detection, self‑testing, stable performance, and a genuinely practical night‑light feature. It’s an easy recommendation for anyone upgrading safety in bathrooms, kitchens, laundry areas, or hallways where both protection and visibility matter.
