I double-checked angles with a square instead of trusting the printed scale.* Stock blade is acceptable for rough wood cuts. For cleaner edges I swapped to a better aftermarket blade.This is a compact cordless saw that makes sense if you already own Dewalt 18V/20V batteries and need something portable for sheet goods and lighter framing. Plan on buying batteries separately if you do not have them, and treat the inverted table mode as a convenience feature rather than a substitute for a proper table saw.

I’ve been impressed with this cordless circular saw. The 7-1/4-inch blade and 5,600 RPM motor provide plenty of power for typical DIY and woodworking projects, while the cordless design makes it much easier to move around the workspace.The ergonomic design makes the saw comfortable to grip and control, especially when making longer cuts. It also feels solid and sturdy in the hand, which gives me more confidence when working with wood. The 0–57° angle adjustment is a useful feature for making angled cuts when a project calls for more than just straight cuts.Portability is another big advantage. It’s easy to carry from one work area to another and doesn’t require an extension cord, which makes it especially convenient for jobs where access to power is limited. The compact design also makes storage easier when it’s not in use.I also like the compatibility with DeWalt 18V/20V batteries if you already have them. I'm giving the saw a 5 star rating with value in mind not because it is the best circular saw money can buy. However the saw works well, I haven't found any serious shortcomings, and build quality is good. I've used it to cut plywood (1/2" and 3/4") and 2 by dimensional lumber, which is what I'll use the saw for the great majority of the time, and it gets the job done quickly and well. Operation is smooth, the saw handles well, cuts are accurate, the motor runs smoothly and it is remarkably quiet compared to the corded circular saws I've used for decades. The saw isn't as powerful as corded saws and it takes about a second to come up to full speed but it gets the job done as fast as I need to as a home user.I like the feel of both the primary and forward grips. The adjustment levers are brightly colored and large which makes them easy to locate and operate. My current corded circular saw has rather small wing nuts which can be a nuisance so I'm particularly appreciative of this saw's design in that regard. On the downside I find the control lever on the blade guard blocks the right hand field of view once raised by the workpiece so I must shift to an alternate visual angle while sawing to keep viewing the blade cutting on the line. The blade brake is very effective, stopping the blade almost instantly after the trigger is released.The listing indicates max cutting depth of 35 mm but by my measurement, at 90 degrees, the depth is much better at 62 mm. The listing also shows weight at 3.96 lbs but according to my scale weight is 7.5 lbs (without battery). However the weight is about what I'd expect for a saw this size and it isn't difficult to handle.The saw works perfectly with DeWalt 20V Max batteries and compatible aftermarket batteries made to work with cordless 20V DeWalt tools, both of which I use. However it doesn't work with 5/8 arbor blades. It comes with a 20 mm arbor blade which fits perfectly and functions well but you'll need to buy additional 20 mm arbor blades if your other circular saw blades have a 5/8" arbor. The inner flange is reversible to accommodate an alternate arbor size but it is only slightly smaller, still far larger than 5/8".The included instruction manual can be difficult to decipher in some regards but it contains some useful information and diagrams.This is the first cordless 7.5" circular saw I've used and I'm really enjoying the ease with which I can employ it for a few cuts without bothering with an extension cord. Furthermore working with electrical cords underfoot and the cord getting stuck part way through a cut is no longer an issue. Based on experience to date, for a home user like myself I would recommend this saw.

I've got a heavy-duty corded worm drive, but dragging out an extension cord for just one or two cuts drives me up the wall. This little saw is the perfect fix. It spins up to 5600 RPM instantly and chews through 2x4s and plywood every bit as fast as my corded model. I already have a few dewalt 20V batteries, so I just pop one in and get to work. The 0–57° bevel adjustment is smooth and accurate, and the depth gauge is easy to read. Build quality feels solid, and the dust port is a nice bonus for hooking up a vacuum. But here's the kicker, I've got the exact same issue shown in the video. There's way too much lateral play in the guard. The blade actually rubs the inner side of the saw guard during spin-down, and even a little at full speed. The whole guard assembly wobbles at the pivot point, and I've looked everywhere there's no screw or adjustment to tighten that slop. I'm worried it'll wear down the guard or mess up the blade over time. It still works fine, but that play makes it feel cheap. If the manufacturer ever fixes this, it's an incredible backup saw or even a great primary for any DIYer who's already in dewalt battery ecosystem.

This is a very nice circular saw that uses batteries. I don't have the original Dewalt batteries but I do have the off brands batteries and they work just fine with this saw. This saw does have a brushless motor and I found the cutting depth to be acceptable. It handles some plywood and some trim board I had laying around just fine. I was able to get some nice angled cuts. I also connected this to my wet/dry vacuum and avoided all the dust. The saw has decent weight to it even when the battery was connected to it. The blade stops quickly after releasing the trigger. The shoe of the saw was not wobbly. Overall, I think this is a nice saw for someone using this with a hobby. I don't see this being used in a professional setting. It is pretty easy to use and it does an overall good job.

This review is for the HerLor brand, Cordless Circular Saw Compatible with Dewalt 18V/20V Battery compatible with 7-1/4-Inch Blades. Blade angle is adjustable 0-57° Note: Battery Not Included. The saw cuts well and even included a carbide blade. Adjustments are easy to make and what stood out most is the body of the saw was fantastically rigid making for very accurate cuts. It is so rare to find a saw that doesnt flex when using it making it frustrating to make a good cut on other saws-ZERO FLEX absolutely PRO quality frame on this saw and it makes a huge difference when making angled cuts. Saw is priced at $89 at time of review and worth every penny. Most battery powered saws only use the smaller 4-5-1/2" blades where this one can do full depth cuts but struggles with insufficient torque. Safety features dont get in the way of doing work. Dust collection is good but struggles a little but still better than most other saws I use for cutting HDPE but works great for wood.Important note: If the motor is slow to spin up, draws hard on the Dewalt battery (makes it get warm), or does thermal shut-off/cooldown in about 12 secs you have the low capacity drill battery. Strongly recommend 4ah min - 6Ah best with big taller battery or it's not going to run well.

This circular saw is a great replacement for my 4 inch saw. The 4 inch saw finally gave out on me. Rather than replacing the exact model. I came across this circular saw. This would be a wise choice since it takes the Dewalt batteries that I already own. Setting up the saw with the blade was somewhat easy. Pushing in the lever to hold the blade from turning was the most difficult part of it. It's in an area that is somewhat cramped for larger hands. But one I got the blade on, I was ready to give it a test drive. I had a few boards I needed to cut down in size. After making a few cuts, I realize this is made for left handed people. The discharge is set to blow sawdust in the direction a lefty is standing. I was covered in sawdust from the waist down. Not a big deal since I attached a small flexible hose to it and directed the sawdust downward. It cuts wonderfully. The cuts were clean and straight. All around This is a great replacement for my 4 inch saw.

This was one of my more challenging items to review. Not for the item itself, but because the listing is so wildly inaccurate and also potentially dangerous/harmful. The saw, however, is pretty great!Let me start with the most important thing here: DO NOT attempt to use this saw as a makeshift table saw. I am not sure what marketing genius thought that the second picture in the listing was a good idea. But please, for the sake of your fingers, under no circumstances use this saw INVERTED like a table saw.If you’re on a roof working “out of position” then maybe you can get away with some unconventional cutting technique. But please don’t use this saw upside down. Lets be honest though, if you’re on a roof, you already own a circular saw and it isn’t this one.So what IS this saw good for? Honestly, whatever you want. It’s a 7 1/4 inch circular saw with depth and bevel settings. It has a soft start wind up and an electric brake that stops the blade when you release the trigger. These are pretty nice features. And astounding to find at the $30 price point. I will note that the electric brake screeches like a son of a gun and startled me the first time I used the saw. Definitely use hearing protection when using.It comes with a 24 tooth framing saw blade that I will probably replace with a 60T finishing blade because I am a hobbyist not a builder. It does not come with batteries, which is expected. I was happy it works with my 20v Dewalt/off-brand batteries.Now, back to the listing for a second. There is a lot of misinformation on this item page. First of all, the maximum cutting depth is 65mm, not 35mm. It’s 65mm at 90 degrees and 35mm at the maximum bevel angle of 57 degrees.Second, it weighs 3.5kg NOT 3.5lbs. This is closer to about 7.7lbs.I’m including a photo of the saw with a blade in it and a battery attached so you know I actually tested it unlike the folks who couldn’t be bothered to do so.
