This is a great cable to keep in the car as an additional charging option when traveling. The 21-foot length gives you a lot of flexibility when the outlet or charger is not conveniently located, especially at hotels, rentals, or when visiting family.The cable is substantial, the connectors fit securely, and I like that it supports both 110V and 240V charging. The included travel bag also makes sense for keeping everything organized in the trunk.It is limited to 16A, so this is not something I would buy for maximum charging speed. As a portable backup or travel extension cable, however, it is extremely useful.

This EV charging extension cord works well with my Prius Prime. It allows me to charge my car when it is outside the range of my usual garage cord, such as when I have projects going on in my garage and I have to park outside. It is compact and comes with a nice carrying case, so it is also nice for travels. When parking in a friend’s driveway during a trip, maybe they will let me use this to charge my car. The cord is quite flexible so it rounds corners and coils easily. Part of that flexibility is due to it being thinner than my usual garage-based cord. The insulation on my other cord is considerably thicker. In my case, the thinner insulation on this should not be detrimental because it will not be subject to much wear and tear. If you are going to be dragging this across rough surfaces frequently, you may want more robust insulation but for normal use this is fine. The jacket on this cord says it is 14AWG +3C +18AWG 300V so the conductors are not heavy-duty. These are the same specs as my other cord and it has done Level 2 charging just fine for years. It weighs about four pounds. Both my original cord and this extension are rated at 16A and provide all the charging power I need.

Apart from a stiff disengagement latch, it is a well-built charging accessory. I am still giving it five stars because it is a useful product that works well.
