Excellent pipe wrench for the price

[Size: 10 Inch, Style: Straight]
Better than several others I've tried around the same price point...I've used this pipe wrench on both indoor plumbing and some pretty worn, rusted black steel pipe, and it's performed great on both. The jaws grip well, and after the use I've put it through the teeth show little to no noticeable wear.I've gone through several pipe wrenches from different brands over the years, and considering the price, this one is holding up better than the others I've tried. The aluminum handle also keeps it light, which is nice when you're sweaty and exhausted. My only complaint is that this particular size is on the shorter side, so you don't get as much leverage as you would with a larger wrench. That's more of a limitation of the size than the tool itself, though, and I plan to pick up a larger one for jobs where I need more leverage. The adjustment does have a little bit of slop in it but not enough to complain about... it's normal and expected.Overall, very impressed with the durability for the price. I'd definitely buy another one, so long as this one holds up it will have a longer handle.

A Reliable Tool at a Great Price!A Reliable Tool at a Great Price!

[Size: 10 Inch, Style: Straight, Size: 10 Inch, Style: Straight]
I ordered the LIYU 10-inch Aluminum Straight Pipe Wrench and it's a great addition to my workshop! The wrench measures 9.62 inches when the jaws are fully closed — slightly under the stated 10 inches. It weighs just under one pound, making it lightweight and easy to maneuver. The handle section is five inches long, which should comfortably accommodate most hands. It's painted grey and has a comfortable shape that feels secure in the hand. The knurled adjustment knob turns smoothly and easily when setting the jaw width, and the jaw ridges grip a pipe securely without slipping. One thing worth knowing before purchasing — the storage hole at the end of the handle is quite small. It only fit my narrowest wall hook on my workshop organizer, so keep that in mind if you plan to hang it for storage. Overall, it's a well-made, reliable tool that I'm happy to have in my workshop. Highly recommend!

Lightweight Handle That Actually Cuts Down On Hand Fatigue

[Size: 10 Inch, Style: Straight]
This review is for the LIYU 10-Inch Aluminum Straight Pipe WrenchI used this for some plumbing repair work and it performed well from start to finish. The aluminum handle feels lightweight in hand but still sturdy, and the steel jaw feels solid and well forged. No rust or corrosion showing up so far either. The jaw adjusted smoothly using the lead screw and locked securely in place without loosening up during use. My pipe fell right within the 45mm opening range, so sizing was not an issue at all. Once clamped down, the jaw gripped the pipe without slipping and the serrations bit in well for turning it.I could really feel the difference with the lightweight handle too, it noticeably cut down on hand fatigue compared to the heavier wrenches I have used in the past. For the price this is absolutely worth it, and I would recommend it for home use as well as more industrial plumbing jobs. I would buy this again and would consider grabbing the multi size set too.

Lightweight wrenchLightweight wrench

[Size: 10 Inch, Style: Straight, Size: 10 Inch, Style: Straight]
This is a decent small wrench for home use. The aluminum makes it weirdly lightweight. The adjustment of the size is relatively smooth, but a little less than my regular pipe wrench. The coating on the handle is nice and thick. The price seems a bit high for what it is. At close to $15, might be worth considering a more known brand or local hardware store. All that being said, it will have a spot in the toolbox and will get used.

Solid, Lightweight Pipe WrenchSolid, Lightweight Pipe Wrench

[Size: 10 Inch, Style: Straight, Size: 10 Inch, Style: Straight]
I’m very impressed with the quality of this pipe wrench. It feels solid and well-built without having the excessive weight of a traditional heavy iron wrench. The aluminum-alloy handle makes a noticeable difference when using the tool for an extended period. The jaws have a good amount of bite, and the serrations grip pipes securely without slipping once the wrench is properly adjusted. The adjustment mechanism also works smoothly, making it easy to set the opening precisely for the job.I particularly like the combination of strength and lightweight construction. It has the feel of a professional-quality tool, but it's still comfortable enough for routine plumbing repairs and DIY projects around the house. The corrosion-resistant construction is another plus, especially for a tool that may be used around moisture. The compact size makes it easy to maneuver where a larger pipe wrench would be awkward. It handles smaller and medium-sized pipes very well and feels dependable when applying torque.Overall, this is a well-designed, sturdy, and surprisingly lightweight pipe wrench. It offers excellent grip, smooth adjustment, and good build quality without being unnecessarily heavy. Highly recommend.

Okay for Light Home Use, Not Very High QualityOkay for Light Home Use, Not Very High Quality

[Size: 10 Inch, Style: Straight, Size: 10 Inch, Style: Straight]
This is an okay small pipe wrench, but it's not particularly high quality. While the jaws feel like steel, the handle is very light and feels cheap, most likely cast aluminum coated with cheap paint. I'm not too concerned about the cheap finish, but bonding the steel lower jaw to a cheap aluminum handle creates a failure point that is a bit concerning. Other than that, it's an okay tool for light home use. The action isn't very smooth, but it's perfectly functional. The biggest drawback to functionality is that there's a lot of play in the adjustable side of the jaws. Once you get it cinched tight, it usually holds in place, but it will start to work its way loose after a few minutes of use.

Well built and super light!Well built and super light!

[Size: 10 Inch, Style: Straight, Size: 10 Inch, Style: Straight]
This is a very nice and clean pipe wrench with some features that you will only see in high end tools. The advantage over those other high-end tools is that it you aren't paying those prices and still get a clean finish tool. Before I tell you all of the neat features and things that I like about this wrench it is important that you know that this is not a pipe wrench that I would put a huge cheater bar on to break something free. With the aluminum handle/body construction it would not turn out as well as if you had a steel pipe wrench. With that said, unless you are needing to use a cheater bar, this is a sweet tool and I would use it before any of my steel wrenches. The tool is extremely light and you can hardly feel it in your hand as you are working and carrying it around. The handle construction is optimized so that you can grip it comfortably and it will not bend when you are really applying force to it. The coating is super! it is smooth on your hands so you don't have any sharp or digging points. The jaws are aggressive and instantly bite into the bar or pipe you are working on. They also don't wear down when working on steel pipe. They are fully hardened and the head doesn't deflect when it is under a lot pressure. The bottom jaw is securely mounted to the handle and doesn't wiggle at all. The upper head jaw does seem to have some more side to side play than I see with some of my other wrenches, but it doesn't seem to make a huge effect unless you are twisting the handle out of axis when wrenching. The handle also has a great addition that you don't see in wrenches until you get into more expensive options. There is a positioning spring so the head doesn't wiggle around when you are setting the bite or releasing it. You are able to easily and accurately apply the bite and then it just tightens as you wrench down. That feature also makes this my go to pipe wrench compared to some of my others.

The first thing Amazon asks when writing a review is, “What should other customers know aboutthis product?” Here are some of the highlights:Highlights● High-carbon steel forged jaw — the jaw is manufactured via one-piece forging, notassembled from multiple components; this single-piece construction delivers superiorhardness and torque-bearing capacity compared to cast or multi-piece jaw designs; nojoint points means no structural weak spots under load● 40% lighter than traditional iron-handle wrenches — the aluminum-magnesium alloyhandle achieves industrial-grade strength at significantly reduced weight; for extendeduse or repeated repositioning in tight spaces, this weight reduction meaningfully reduceshand fatigue● Wear-resistant serrated jaw structure — the serrations are designed to bite and holdpipe surfaces securely without slipping under torque; the wear-resistant treatmentextends the effective grip life of the serrations through repeated heavy use● Maximum 45mm (1-3/4 inch) jaw opening — covers the full range of small to mediumpipe specifications commonly encountered in home plumbing and light industrial work● Precision-machined lead screw with thickened lock nut — the adjustment mechanismuses a machined (not stamped) lead screw for smooth, accurate sizing; the thickenedlock nut holds the set opening without creeping or loosening under sustained torque● Corrosion and rust resistant handle — aluminum-magnesium alloy has inherentresistance to moisture and oxidation; suitable for humid working environments includingbasements, bathrooms, and outdoor plumbing applications● Compact 10-inch length — the shorter format enables use in confined spaces — undersinks, inside wall cavities, in mechanical rooms — where a full-size wrench cannotmaneuver effectively● Polished finish — the polished surface treatment reduces surface oxidation over timeand makes the tool easier to clean after use● Industrial-grade classification — designed for both professional plumbing techniciansand serious DIY use; not a light-duty homeowner-grade toolSpecifications● Brand: LIYU (manufactured by Wei Hai LIYU Industrial Co., Ltd)● Model Number: LH72015● Size: 10 inches (also available in 14-inch and 18-inch variants)● Style: Straight (Offset variant also available)● Material: Jaw — High-Carbon Alloy Steel (forged); Handle — Aluminum-MagnesiumAlloy● Maximum Jaw Opening: 45mm (1-3/4 inches)● Head Style: C-Shaped● Wrench Length Style: Standard● Finish: Polished● Package Dimensions: 10.08 × 2.8 × 1.26 inches● Weight: 15.87 ounces (0.45 kg)● Included Components: 1× Aluminum Pipe Wrench● Date First Available: May 14, 2026● Price: $13.99 with free delivery Sunday, August 2Size Variants AvailableThe LIYU wrench is available in three sizes and two styles — buyers should select based on thepipe diameter range they most commonly work with:● 10-inch (this product) — small to medium pipes; best for under-sink, bathroom, andtight-space plumbing; maximum 45mm opening● 14-inch — medium pipes; wider jaw opening range; better leverage on larger fittings● 18-inch — larger pipe work; maximum leverage for stubborn fittings; less suitable forconfined spacesBoth Straight and Offset head styles are available — the Offset style positions the jaw at an angleto the handle, useful when working in spaces where a straight wrench cannot achieve the correctapproach angle.DurabilityThis is where the material and construction choices matter most, and the LIYU wrench makescredible claims across all three primary durability considerations for a pipe wrench:Jaw Durability — The Most Critical Component The jaw is the part of a pipe wrench that fails firstin lower-quality tools — either the serrations wear smooth, the jaw cracks under high torque, or thejaw-to-body connection loosens over time.● One-piece forged high-carbon steel construction directly addresses all three failuremodes; forging aligns the steel grain structure for maximum strength and impactresistance; one-piece construction eliminates joint failure; high-carbon steel maintainshardness under sustained torque far better than cast iron or lower-carbon alloys● The wear-resistant serration treatment extends the grip life of the jaw teeth —serrations that wear smooth lose clamping effectiveness and increase pipe slippage risk;the treatment slows this degradation meaningfully● High-carbon steel is also more susceptible to rust than stainless, which is worth noting —keeping the jaw dry and lightly oiled after use in wet environments will extend its servicelifeHandle Durability● Aluminum-magnesium alloy does not rust or corrode under moisture exposure — asignificant durability advantage over traditional iron handles in plumbing environmentswhere water contact is routine● The alloy is impact-resistant for a handle but should not be used as a striking tool;side-impact loads (using the handle to knock a fitting) can stress the alloy in ways it is notd...
