This light is stunning! The natural color and texture of the travertine give it that beautiful wabi-sabi feel, but it also works surprisingly well with my Parisian-style decor. I love pieces that can blend different design styles, and this one definitely does.One thing to note is that it takes a G9 bulb, which is different from a standard light bulb. Once you have the bulb, you simply insert it and twist the frosted glass globe into place. This is a hardwired fixture, so it will need to be installed directly into the wall.The combination of the natural stone and frosted globe looks much more expensive than I expected. I haven't hung mine yet, but I can't wait to see it installed. Such a beautiful and unique light fixture, an easy 5 stars!

Travertine is a type of freshwater limestone that is mined near mineral springs, originally in Italy, but now various countries around the world are suppliers.Overall, I like the look and quality of this Travertine Wall Sconce. I’ve seen several sellers offer this particular wall sconce here on Amazon. Unfortunately, this seller has a higher price and, unlike other sellers of this sconce, does not provide the wall plate to cover up the 4-inch hole for existing wall junction boxes. Watch my video review for details and observations regarding this matter.One big negative for the sconce is how difficult it is to mount on the wall. The entire unit is heavy. The mounting plate must first be connected to the wall, then the Travertine LED fixture is screwed onto the mounting plate. The wiring for the light connects these two pieces, so you have to hold the light fixture while attaching the mounting plate to the wall. All of this is quite cumbersome and frustrating. A simple solution would be to include a wire connector in the design, which this product does not utilize.For new home builds, adding these lights would be a much simpler process than working with existing wiring and junction boxes.Lastly, I’d like to mention that this Travertine wall sconce provides more of an ambiance than lighting up a hallway or stairwell. If you need serious lighting, you’ll need to have multiples of these sconce lights or look elsewhere.For the money invested, the negative issues I’ve mentioned should not be present; I expect perfection at this price point.
