Works as advertised. Worth purchasing. Makes taking of my tires so much faster and easier. Plenty of power. Great be able to use my Dewalt batteries, definitely an added bonus.
There was this gate at the side of my house where the hinges had worked loose over the years and the bolts were rusted solid in the wood frame. I got this cordless impact wrench and went at the old hardware first to see what it could do. The power broke those rusted bolts free without rounding the heads or tearing up the surrounding wood the way my hand tools always seem to. I was able to pull everything apart cleanly and get the gate off its hinges without calling someone else over to help hold it steady.Once the old bolts were out I switched speeds to run the new ones in most of the way on the higher setting and then dropped to the lowest speed for the final snugging so nothing stripped or cracked. The light built into the front lit up the shaded area under the roof overhang where I was working and let me keep both hands on the tool instead of holding a flashlight in my teeth. The handle stayed comfortable in my grip even when I had to reach at an awkward angle over the top rail to get to the upper bolts. The extension rod that came with it let me get into the deeper pockets in the frame without taking the whole gate apart again. The automatic stop in reverse kept the old nuts from dropping into the bushes and vanishing when I backed them out. Everything I needed for the job was right there in the box with the wrench so I did not have to pause and dig through drawers for a matching socket or extra piece. What started as a job I kept putting off turned into something I finished in one afternoon with a lot less strain on my back and hands than I expected.
