This is a fairly small set of open-end/12-point flex-head box-end wrenches in common sizes from 5/16" to 3/4".In recent years, American cars pretty much only use metric fasteners. Beginning the 1970's domestic car manufacturers started switching over to the metric system and by the 1990's the metric system was the most commonly used fastener. So, if you are working on an older car, you will likely find these wrenches to be especially useful. Depending on the year, though, you could run into both SAE and metric fasteners on the same car. Mainly, I wanted this set for working on my tractor and implements which are pretty much all SAE.These wrenches are made of chrome vanadium steel with a polished nickel-coated finish that cleans up really well after a greasy job. The 72-tooth gear ratcheting box-end is compact with a short 5-degree swing which is great for tight or enclosed spaces. The box-end has a flex-head adding even more versatility. The articulated joint is tight and moves smoothly but still has enough friction to hold position for use. A too-loose joint makes for an overly flexible wrench that can make it difficult to engage a barely accessible bolt or nut.I am impressed with these well-built wrenches and expect these to last for many years. I have other Youngpower tools and find them to provide good value. I am comfortable recommending this and other Youngpower tools for your consideration.

It doesn't effect performance. Seems like this is common in budget nickel‑plated tools, but worth noting.Rolling Pouch:Surprisingly decent quality for the price.Stitching is clean, pockets are snug.Makes the set feel more “complete” and easy to grab for engine work. I like my tool box organized, thank you very much.4/5 stars due to the discoloration.

These ratcheting flex head wrenches work great. They feel like a solid, durable tool. The chrome is deep and looks great. The ratchet is fairly smooth and the pivot action is just right. It's not loose and floppy and it's not so tight that you need another wrench to move it. The backdrag, though, is considerable. In use, they slot on a nut easily. Plus, being 12-point sockets, you don't have to index them. In tight spaces, this makes a big difference. Also, I really like that this kit comes in a tool roll which makes them very easy to roll up to keep in the truck. Overall, these seem like a good value.

This is an 8-piece SAE ratcheting wrench set, and after using it for a few small jobs, I’ve been pretty happy with it. I recently used these while changing a throttle cable on one of my zero-turn mowers, and they worked great.The overall quality is better than I expected for the price. I would put these roughly on par with Kobalt or Husky and maybe a tier below something like ICON or Craftsman, which also have the advantage of a lifetime warranty. The wrenches feel solid, the ratcheting mechanisms work smoothly, and the 72-tooth design with a 5-degree swing is nice when you’re working in tight spaces. The flex heads are also very useful for getting onto bolts where a straight wrench would be awkward or impossible.My only real complaint is the roll-up pouch. It does a decent job of keeping everything organized, but if you don’t tie the string really tight, the wrenches can slide out the top if you accidentally turn the pouch upside down while carrying it. I found that folding the top edge of the pouch down over the wrenches before rolling it up solves the problem, but I would still prefer a molded plastic holder that each wrench could securely clip into.In my shop, I like having nice tools, and I own a set of Snap-on ratcheting wrenches. However, I also like keeping a separate set of tools in the toolbox in the bed of my truck. I don’t want to keep expensive tools back there because there is a much greater chance of them getting lost, stolen, rusty, or just generally beat up. That is exactly where a set like this makes sense.For $35, you get eight useful sizes from 5/16” through 3/4”, flex heads, fine-tooth ratcheting mechanisms, and a storage pouch. They’re inexpensive enough that I won’t be heartbroken if one disappears, but they’re still good enough that I can actually depend on them when I need them.The pouch keeps this from being a perfect set for me, but the wrenches themselves are excellent for the money. These have earned a permanent home in my truck toolbox.4 stars.

Great set of flexible head ratcheting wrenches. I have some other wrenches from this brand and they all continue to be really solid and well made. The ratcheting mechanism works very smoothly, with no binding or stuttering even when really torquing something down. The hinge for the "flex-head" also works very well, and is easy enough to adjust the angle without it being so loose that it flops around and is hard to work with. They are a bit thin, and are coated instead of made of a higher quality solid steel, but these should be able to handle just about anything a casual user could throw at them. The case would be improved if they dumped the little strings that you have to tie and instead used some hook-and-loop, but I can't complain too much about that. Overall a good value at this price point.

I’ve got the SAE set and it’s a good average set of wrenches. They work exactly as listed and have all the ranges of motion it claims. The quality is good and they feel like they’d last a while. I’m not sure if there is any warranty with this set like you would have with a normal set you usually get in store somewhere, but you’re getting these at a fraction of the cost. The carry case they come in is amazing. I wish more companies had this as a standard option. It makes packing them around so much easier and keeps them all together. Definitely makes it a lot less of a hassle. I’ve been using them for a few weeks now on a plethora of things and have no signs of anything to note. For what it’s listed as it’s exactly what it claims and I have zero complaints.

Excellent standard size combo ratchet and open end set. I'm using this style ratchet more frequently than sockets and finding them simpler and faster. They are thin enough to access tight spots. Flip it over and switch from tighten to loosen without a switch. The strong steel material is solid in your hand and the nickel coating on these tools will never rust. The 180 degree hinged head on the ratchet is a nice feature giving you options without sacrificing leverage. The 5 degree swing arc lets you use the ratchet in extremely small spaces. It's also nice having an open end capability on the same wrench if you can't wrap the ratchet around a bolt. The rollup canvass carrying case is quite rugged and organized with sizes printed in white on an orange background for easy identification. Each wrench is also size labeled on front and back. Eight wrenches 5/16" through 3/4" gives you capability for 90% of the standard sized bolts or nuts you will encounter. The 12 point contact gives you a secure grip without fear of stripping. I'm not ready to entirely ditch my socket set and standard ratchet but these definitely absorb a bunch of that work. I tested these on my garage door and was pleased with the ratcheting action, leverage and torque. There's a lot of capability and quality in this set.
