I’m really happy with this ceiling fan. The solid wood walnut blades give it a beautiful, high-end look and add a lot of warmth to the room. I especially like the low profile design because it sits close to the ceiling without looking bulky.The fan runs very quietly, even at the higher speeds, and the six speed settings make it easy to get the airflow exactly where you want it. The DC motor is smooth, and the reversible feature will be nice for using it year-round. The light is bright when needed, but being able to dim it makes it much more comfortable in the evening.The remote is convenient and simple to use, especially for adjusting the fan speed and lighting without having to get up. Overall, this is a really attractive, modern farmhouse-style fan that combines good airflow, quiet operation, and a much nicer appearance than a typical ceiling fan. I put this up into my bedroom this weekend, I loved the three blade design, and the smooth style light and frame design of the fan. It's still a 52" fan so it's a great size for the room itself, and the same size as the previous fan I had up. It is extremely quiet, no strong wind noise, or motor noise either, but it moves air very efficiently and cools the room very fast. It's been a fantastic replacement so far, and wired up just like the previous fan had been wired. The remote is nice too, I put it by my light switch so I can turn all my lights on/off at the same time which is really nice.

I recently received this 52-inch solid wood ceiling fan in dark walnut and will be using it under our raised pylon home where we are creating an outdoor hangout area along with parking and storage. Since we are building in a coastal area where the temperatures can get quite hot, having good air circulation underneath the house is going to be very important. My husband is an electrician, so although we have not permanently installed this at the new home yet, we were able to test the fan and all of its functions beforehand. The instructions were easy for us to follow, and we did not have any issues assembling and testing it. The first thing I noticed was the solid wood blades. The natural wood is very attractive and looks much nicer in person than the basic plastic or manufactured-looking blades found on many ceiling fans. My only disappointment is the actual color of the wood. It is described as dark walnut, but I would personally consider it more of a medium wood tone. I was expecting the blades to be noticeably darker based on the description, so that is something to keep in mind if you are trying to coordinate this with other dark walnut finishes. The wood itself is still very pretty, and the lighter color does not affect how well the fan operates. The 52-inch size provides a good amount of air movement, and having six speeds gives me much more control than a basic three-speed fan. Even at the higher settings, I was impressed by how quietly the DC motor operated. I did not notice annoying humming or motor noise during our testing, and the fan ran smoothly without excessive movement or wobbling. I also like that the motor is reversible, which gives us the option of changing the airflow direction depending on the season. The included light is dimmable, so we can have brighter lighting when we are working underneath the house and lower the brightness when we are sitting outside in the evening. The remote worked well during testing and makes controlling the fan speed, lighting, and other functions very easy without needing separate wall controls. Although we are using this underneath the house, I could easily see it being just as attractive in a living room, bedroom, covered patio, or other indoor space. The medium wood tone was my only disappointment since I was expecting a true dark walnut, but I really like the solid wood construction, quiet motor, amount of air movement, six speeds, reversible operation, dimmable lighting, and remote control. I feel this is still an excellent value for a fan that looks this nice and performs so well.

I ordered this for my kitchen as it gets unbearably hot when I’m doing anything more than nuking a hot pocket in the microwave. I had a nice decorative compact fan disguised as a light fixture that simply didn’t move enough air, this unit solved that problem and over-achieved.It came neatly packed and protected in a compact box with minimal assembly required. The instructions were very clear and to the point and honestly they were more legible to me than the units I’ve had previously from box stores.What really stood out to me was that they integrated a hook into the ceiling mount plate so you can actually hang the whole fan from it temporarily to connect the wires. I’ve never seen that before and thought it was really cool because if you’ve ever installed a ceiling fan you know how much of a pain it is to hook up the wires while holding it up there.The fan itself looks really good, it has a nice clean aesthetic but maintains character with the rich deep stain in the wood blades so it doesn’t feel sterile. What appealed to me the most about the design is how integrated all of it is. The three blades butt together so cleanly at the center that the motor and mounting hardware essentially disappear, making the blades look like one continuous rotating assembly between the base and light.Functionally, it moves some serious air and does it quietly. There is no motor noise whatsoever, switching speeds and direction is quick and seamless, and when you turn it off it brings it back down to speed quickly. No freewheeling for a minute until it finally stops.What really blew my socks off was how bright the light is. In my kitchen I didn’t really need the light and initially I had thought of installing it in my bedroom but reconsidered assuming the light would be weak. Nope, it uses a 15W integrated LED, and it’s considerably brighter than I expected from such a small light. Color temperature seems accurate and is both customizable and dimmable. I do wish it could dip a little more towards the warm end of the light spectrum but compared to my 3000k recessed lights it’s very close.As for what I didn’t like, my complaints are more like nitpicks. I wish the light was a bit wider, it looks a bit comically small for the mass of the fan but it also gives it that clean look so I understand why it is that size. I do wish the light would get slightly warmer but that’s more of a personal preference. Finally, I do wish there was a place inside the assembly to clip the control box into. You’re supposed to just place it inside the motor cover and while it’s probably fine, I would have liked it in a fixed mount.Overall this is easily a 5 star product from me. The fan it replaced I also got from Amazon. It was $50 more expensive, the blade was plastic and wobbled, the finish looked a bit cheap, and the control box sounded like an electronic cricket when it was totally off. This Mildear unit is the complete opposite of that and you actually get real wood blades so the value is definitely there.
