We have several areas with only two or three wooden steps, including the entrance into our neighborhood area, and buying a huge set of stair treads makes absolutely no sense for those spaces.A four pack is exactly what we needed.The most important thing for me was how securely they would stay on the wood, and these attach really nicely. Once positioned and pressed down, they feel secure underfoot and give the smooth wooden steps some additional traction. That is especially important in a house with little granddaughters constantly going up and down.I also like that the brown carpet works nicely with our darker wood and doesn't completely cover the steps. They add some softness and make the small stair areas feel a little more finished without looking like we installed a full carpet runner.The 9 by 28 inch size covers the main area where your foot actually lands while still allowing plenty of the wood to show.I haven't needed to machine wash ours yet, so I can't comment on how the backing performs after repeated washing. So far, though, they are doing exactly what we wanted.If you have those little two or three step transitions around your home rather than one big staircase, the four pack is especially useful. They fit our spaces perfectly and stay nicely secured to the wood. Five stars.

The stair runners feel like they will hold up over time. They feel tough but the carpet is still soft and provides some padding compared to hard wood. My absolute favorite part about these is the fact that they can be machine washed.Our house has a step between a few of the rooms and I want to pull out all carpet from my house, which is on one of the steps. It is so hard to keep clean with mulitple dogs in the house. This will solve that problem. We plan to pull up the carpet, paint the wood underneath if needed, and then add this for traction. We will add them at every step so people don't trip also.The back of the rugs are slightly tacky, making it apparent that it will stay in place as long as the floor under it is clean. I can see it moving if it gets dust, dirt or dog hair under it so it is crucial to place on a clean surface.The instructions are very helpful with how to take care of them and the installation is pretty simple. Peel the plastic off and place on your clean surface. I think these will hold up over time and would purchase more in the future if needed.

These stair treads are a nice way to add some grip and comfort to wooden stairs. The dark gray color looks clean, and the soft carpet material feels much better under bare feet than walking directly on wood. These are a low pile material, so easy to vacuum and clean, and they don't absorb as much dirt or dust.One thing to be aware of is the width. These are definitely not one-size-fits-all. These treads don't cover the entire width of my stairs, so there is still exposed wood on both sides. If you're looking for full-width coverage, make sure to measure your steps carefully before ordering. They also aren't completely silent. I noticed a little noise when walking on them, although they still help make the stairs feel softer and more comfortable than bare wood.You'll likely need to order at least several packs of 4 if you want to take care of a full staircase going up one level. For one pack, you'd be fine using these on a garage or side door entry, and maybe even deck stairs (if they're enclosed).The non-slip backing works well when installed on a clean, dry surface, and I like that they can be removed without leaving a lot of messy residue. The washable material is also a nice feature, especially for homes with kids or pets.Overall, they're a decent and affordable option for adding a little extra comfort and grip to wooden or unfinished stairs.

I got these stair treads for a set of stairs needed to get in the house. Needless to say these are used frequently. I have laminate flooring and everyone, including my dogs were slipping on these stairs. I was afraid someone was going to fall.My stairs are nice and wide so I was able to use two per stair. And they fit perfectly. I think what I love the most is the secure grip. I’ve had these down for a while and they do not move! There is a sticky backing to them which helps them stay in place. And these stairs get used a lot!These are super soft and comfortable on your feet. I love the color, something that blends in. At this point I haven’t had to clean them, but according to the directions you can put them in the washing machine and reuse. That will make cleaning a breeze!The overall sturdiness, and feeling secure while walking on these stairs makes it well worth the purchase. The added comfort from the soft material is a bonus. I feel like these are a great value and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another set.

Good quality and attractive, but they won’t stay on carpeted stairs. These stair treads look nice in beige, and the quality feels very good—soft polyester, decent thickness, and they appear well-made. I also like that they’re machine-washable and intended for households with kids, dogs, or elders. The main drawback is that they do not stay in place on my carpeted stairs. They shift and slide around, so the non-slip feature doesn’t work in this situation (they’re clearly designed for wooden steps). If you have hardwood or other hard-surface stairs, these would likely be excellent. For carpeted stairs, the movement is a real issue. Still giving 4 stars because the materials and appearance are solid.
