Installation was easy and I did not experience any leaks or issues putting it back together.Tip: I highly recommend applying a thin layer of silicone grease to the housing threads, contact surfaces, and O-rings before screwing it back together. This will make future disassembly much easier.When comparing the original Sprite SLC cartridge side-by-side, there is a difference in both weight and the filtration media inside. The Sprite filter weighs 268 g, while this one weighs 200 g - a 25% reduction in filter material. The Sprite filter is packed mostly with yellow/gold granules (KDF 55) while this filter consists mostly of black and white granules and only a very small amount of the yellow/gold material. (see picture)My untreated tap water has a noticeable chlorine odor when collected in a tall container. In the water treated with this cartridge, the chlorine odor was not detectable. In terms of initial performance, it successfully eliminated the chlorine smell from the shower water. I have not noticed any loss of water pressure.While the performance is good so far, it is important to note that the original Sprite filter is NSF-177 certified whereas this filter does not list any certifications.This cartridge fits the Sprite SLC well and stops the chlorine smell at about half the price. I will update this review if the performance of this cartridge changes.

These replacement cartridges fit my Sprite Slim-Line shower filter perfectly and are the same size as the Sprite SLC cartridges I've been using. Installation is simple—remove the old cartridge, drop this one in, and you're ready to go.One thing I noticed immediately is that the filtration media inside this cartridge looks quite different from the name-brand Sprite cartridge. The Sprite SLC uses its proprietary Chlorgon media along with KDF, while this replacement lists four different filtration materials: quartz sand, KDF-55, activated alumina, and activated carbon. This cartridge is also about 2 ounces lighter than the Sprite cartridge I compared it to.Because of those differences, I'm hesitant to say that these perform exactly like the Sprite filters without using them for a while. The physical fit is good, but filtration effectiveness isn't something I can judge just by looking at the cartridge. I also don't see any indication in the product information that these replacement cartridges have the same NSF Standard 177 certification as the genuine Sprite SLC cartridges, so that's something I would want buyers to be aware of when comparing the two.If these hold up well over the expected six-month replacement period, the two-pack could be a nice alternative to buying the name-brand cartridges. For now, I'm happy with the fit and ease of installation, but the long-term filtration performance is the part I'm still evaluating.

Surprised by how much of a difference this made. After installing it, I noticed my hair felt softer and less dry, and it seemed easier to manage after washing. Installation was quick and simple, and replacing the filter took just a couple of minutes without any tools. I can't personally verify everything it filters out, but I can definitely say the water felt better and my hair noticed the difference. If you struggle with dry hair or hard water issues, this is worth trying. Does not last as long as the name brand though. Funtions well, no leakage once I got it in right, and is a good value for money. Fit well and compatible.

We are impressed with this shower replacement filter. It fits perfectly and it is easy to install. So far it works well. We have noticed a difference in our water, which is typically hard water with chemicals. I do not see much difference in my hair, but I do see a difference in my skin, which is softer and not as dry. We have not seen any leaking at this time, and there is an improvement in the water pressure. According to the instructions, it is supposed to be changed every six months, so the four pack should last up to two years. It is easy to replace the old filter. We have not had this long enough to determine if it lasts the full six months. This is a good deal!
