One thing to watch for if you're mounting into brick or masonry is to keep the included rubber spacers in place behind the mounting plate, since skipping them can cause the lid to hit the wall and not open all the way. The mail slot is wide enough for thicker mail pieces and slim packages, but not wide enough for an adults hand to slip inside. An observation window is present near the bottom, but I didn’t find it very useful since standard sized mail can lay flat out of sight. This hasn’t been a problem; I just lift the lid and can easily check inside. Two keys come with the mailbox along with several sheets of reflective number decals which is convenient.I really appreciate the flag on the side of the box for outgoing mail. My old one didn’t have this and sometimes outgoing mail was not picked up when we had no incoming mail. We had to tuck letters behind the open lid, leaving them exposed to bad weather. With this mailbox, that threat is gone thanks to a strong clip mounted on the underside of the lid. I will say that the clip is tight and it can be a bit difficult to slip letters under it.At under $35, this mailbox can be considered a good deal for the material quality and the features it has. Other similar models sell on Amazon for a wide range of prices so it is worth consideration. I am satisfied and would recommend this particular mailbox.

No flag, zero room for small parcels, and I lost the key months ago, meaning I was literally bending thin sheet metal with my hands just to grab my mail.Upgraded to this unit and it solved every single issue.Matte black powder-coat finish looks clean and modern against the wall. The galvanized steel body feels plenty rigid at 0.6mm thick. No cheap metal feel, and the edges are smooth with no rough burrs along the seams.The red outgoing flag flips smooth and holds its spot. Inside, that integrated spring clip bites down tight on outbound envelopes so nothing blows away when the carrier lifts the top lid. Deep main cavity too, easily swallowing thick magazines and small bubble mailers.The sight window on the bottom panel is a small detail that makes a huge difference. I can see if mail dropped from ten feet away on the walkway without pulling out keys or fumbling with the lock.Mounted mine straight into exterior brick. You will need a hammer drill and a masonry bit to set the anchors right. Crucial install tip: do not throw away or skip the rubber spacers in the hardware bag. You need those behind the back plate to offset the box from the wall, otherwise the top lid hits the brick and will not open all the way.Got it dialed in fast. This is a very solid, good sized mailbox. The material feels extra sturdy and I really appreciate having an outgoing mail flag. I ordered the black color and the finish looks very sleek and well done. There’s 2 keys included, and fyi everything arrives with the mounting accessories and keys inside the mailbox.I do really like the fact that the side can open up, my only issue is the slot where the mail goes, it’s much slimmer than the top that opens, which I guess is ok for deterring theft, but might not be ideal for larger items. I haven’t gotten this put up yet, but I’ve inspected the mailbox thoroughly and have to say I’m impressed. Since I haven’t installed it, I can’t speak to ease of installation, but it looks pretty straightforward. All installation hardware is included, including some rubber bumpers to help stabilize it against siding. It also includes some number stickers in case those are needed.Overall, this seems to be a strong, heavy duty mailbox and I can’t wait to start using it.

The box has a red mail pickup flag on the side, I had to hunt for the right size also it does had a metal clip for placement by you of any outgoing mail and the other one I had did not have either so I was confused about that one. This is better, it’s smallish but big enough . I’m very pleased with quality. But my daddy and me put it up with 4 of our self tapping screws instead of drilling holes, putting on the rubber casing into wall, lining it up etc…..overall best I could find. Seems to stay in place. Recommend!!$!
