I ordered this adapter to attach my argon/CO2 flowmeter to a CO2 tank for MIG welding. I chose the stainless steel version, which I like aside from the finish flaking off. It appears the stainless steel is only a coating rather than solid stainless steel.I tightened the adapter to the tank and then attached the flowmeter to the adapter. It works perfectly, and there are no leaks.My adapter included one nylon sealing gasket, so there isn't a spare. Overall, this adapter is a fair value for the money.

I've used these fittings over the last week and examined them extensively.They're perfectly to spec and there are no leaks:- I checked the threads and they are dead on spec.- Fits both 320 and 580 as claimed- Gasket seats well- Disconnection is easyOverall, great fittings, works well, no rust; recommended.

This is a CGA-580 to CGA-320 adapter. The most common use for these valves are to connect CO2 tanks and the common CGA-580 argon regulators.CGA-580 regulators are very common. You can normally get one for free just by asking around.This one is stainless steel, but I think a brass one would be less likely to leak since it seals on the 580 end with a ball and socket type fitting.And no, you do not use PTFE thread tape on fittings like this. If it has a ball/socket or gasket/washer you do not use thread tape.This one
