I call contra dances and use this kind of power cord to provide electricity to my speakers. The problem is, not only is my PA often not right next to a power outlet, but the speakers themselves are raised five feet off the ground – so a lot of cord is needed. My simple six-feet wires are often a stretch – even with an extension cord.I am exceedingly happy with these 15-feet cables. The two-pack is just perfect to power speakers, and the 15-foot length is an exciting amount to work with. Both cables work just as I expect them to without issue. The only thing I’ll note is that I’ve read that braided, woven cables are more durable over time than traditional rubber cords. These are just old-fashioned rubber or plastic, but they do the job.

Length is the whole reason to buy these, because fifteen feet actually solves problems in a rack where the three foot cord in the box is always about four feet short of wherever the PDU ended up. These are 18 AWG rated at 10 amps and 1250 watts, which is right for a desktop, a switch, a monitor or anything else on a standard C13 inlet, but do not feed a big power supply near its limit through one and expect no voltage drop. Thickness of the conductor is worth understanding for that reason, since 18 gauge is appropriate here but it is not a heavy duty cord and the listing is honest about the rating. UL listed is the part I care about most, because a power cord is the one thing in the chain nobody should be gambling on. The jacket is flexible and lays flat behind a rack instead of holding coil memory and springing back out at you every time you dress a bundle. Weight is low enough that a fifteen foot run does not drag a light device off a shelf or put a strain on the inlet, which matters more than it sounds. Durability looks good with solid molded ends, real strain relief where the cable enters the plug, and a C13 that seats with a positive snap rather than the loose fit that lets a cord back itself halfway out. Value for money is easy with two in the pack, and the quality is what I expect out of Cable Matters, plain black with no branding splashed on it, nothing fancy and nothing wrong.

These are wonderful for running to my instrument amplifier, as they fit a Peavey guitar amp that I own perfectly and securely. I was really interested in these Cable Matters power cords because I had been able to use this brand before with a really good experience and because the 15 ft length exceeds the past cables I have had. Having that much extra room to run from the power source to my device is a huge difference in flexibility to be able to do what I really enjoy which is creating. This is a two pack of cables and they are build with some very nice and durable thickness for security and protection in use. Each one is the same in showing there is nice quality there and they were packaged just as I would have wanted them. I can keep one stored away as backup and be able to plug in without any constriction like I had in a way been having to deal with in the past.I would order more of these for other amps, but also I would use them for desktop computer situations if I may need to. Having the 15 FT to run is really good for adjusting to your own room space. These are great quality and they are a straightforward, practical item and I feel fortunate they fit right into my musical amplifier nearly perfectly.

Computer power cables are something of a commodity item - after all, they come included with most computers and power supplies (or other devices that use them). And that's all well and good until you need a replacement or a longer cable. That's when you need a good replacement. And Cable Matters has made quite a name for themselves producing good qualty cables for a very reasonable price. This cable is a good example of their work. Or should I say these cables, since this is a 2 pack after all. Each one is well constructed to be durable yet flexible. They provide the right power connectors on both sides (for a 3 prong connector) and carry the right amount of power (for up to a 1250W power supply) and they're a good length (15 ft) so you can place the device further away from the plug. And really, what more could you want from a power cable? They're a rather non-descript black color which is good for hiding under a desk and they should last a good long time. And they're a decent price to boot, considering it's a 2 pack of 15 feet in length. So if you're in the market for a replacement (or longer) power cable, this 2 pack is a great option to check out. Give it a try today!

I picked up this Cable Matters 2-Pack 6-Foot AC Power Cords to keep around the shop for powering up desktop rigs, monitors, and bench test equipment, and keeping a couple of reliable spare C13 power cables in your drawer is the absolute best way to avoid getting stalled out during a build or repair. Standard 3-prong kettle cords always seem to go missing right when you need to fire up a power supply or bench amplifier. These heavy-duty 18 AWG cords plug right into standard wall outlets and give you a tight, grounded connection that keeps your electronics running safely.UL-Listed Safety Certification and Heavy-Duty 18 AWG WireThe absolute best thing about these replacement cables is the combination of official UL-listed safety compliance and thick 18 AWG copper conductors. Cheap, unbranded AC cables often use skinny wire cores that get warm under load or feature loose, flimsy plugs that sag right out of the socket. These Cable Matters cords are rated for up to 10 amps and 1250 watts at 125 volts, using fully molded strain-relief boots on both ends so the connectors won't fray or crack even if you plug and unplug them constantly on your workbench.Standard NEMA 5-15P to C13 Fit and Convenient 2-Pack FeaturesUniversal 3-Prong C13 Socket: Connects directly into desktop computers, studio monitors, guitar amps, power supplies, and TV displays.Heavy-Duty 18 AWG Copper Core: Rated for 10A and 1250W to handle steady power draw safely without overheating the cable insulation.UL Listed Safety Tested: Rigorously tested for electrical safety so you know your expensive shop gear and home electronics are protected.Molded Strain-Relief Plugs: Engineered with tough, flexible rubber sleeves around the connectors to prevent internal wire breakage from tight bends. The Honest BreakdownPros: UL-listed safety certification gives total peace of mind on the bench; heavy-duty 18 AWG wire handles power supplies and amps up to 1250W; molded plugs fit snug into C13 sockets without falling out; 2-pack hands you a high-quality spare cable for cheap.Cons: Because these cables use a standard straight-in NEMA wall plug and straight C13 connector, they extend out about two inches from the back of your equipment before the cable bends. If you are trying to push a heavy desktop computer case or studio amplifier tight against a flat wall in a tight cabinet, you will just want to make sure you leave a couple of inches of breathing room behind the chassis for clearance.Summary: Why it's a good valueThis 2-pack of 6-foot AC power cords is an excellent value because it provides top-tier UL safety certification and rugged copper construction for way less than buying single replacement cords at big-box retail stores. It completely cures the headache of hunting around for missing power leads, giving you a safe, reliable, and snug-fitting power hookup for all your workbench gear. For any DIYer looking to keep a solid pair of 3-prong computer and amplifier power cords on hand in the shop, this Cable Matters set is a 5-star workbench essential.

bought this Cable Matters 2-pack of 3ft 18 AWG power cords to tidy up the massive rat's nest of extra wiring behind my dual-monitor setup, and they worked out perfectly. Standard 6-foot cords leave way too much slack hanging everywhere, but these 3-footers keep everything sleek, clean, and organized. Here is why this set gets a solid 5 stars:Ideal 3-Foot Length: Perfect distance for plugging desktop monitors, PCs, or printers directly into a nearby surge protector, UPS, or power strip without coiling up excess wire.UL Listed Safety: Having the UL Listing provides complete peace of mind. Knowing they are safety-certified means no worrying about poor insulation or heat hazards under heavy daily use.Sturdy & Flexible Build: Constructed with thick 18 AWG copper conductors, these cables feel substantial without being stiff or difficult to route.Snug, Secure Fit: Both the 3-prong NEMA 5-15P plug and the standard C13 connectors fit tightly into outlets and power ports. They lock in place smoothly with zero wobble or loose connections.Great 2-Pack Value: Getting two reliable, high-quality power cords in one pack is a fantastic convenience for multi-device setups. If you want to eliminate messy cord clutter while ensuring top-tier safety for your electronics, these Cable Matters power cords are an incredible buy!

The 10 & 15 feet options are great! I think everyone has been in the situation where your pc cable is about a foot or two short so had to breaks out an extension cord. With the 10 and 15 ft option makes it so much easier. These work great for not only PC, monitors, printers but I use them to charge my lifepo batter back ups, power the PA speakers, and many other devices that require these cables. These cables seem to be good quality, the connectors seem to stay in place. The price is a bit high for 2 when you can get a 5 pack of the same cables for slightly more.

I found myself in need of a longer power cable after installing one of my monitors on a tall monitor arm, which elevated the monitor to a height that required additional length for the cable to reach the power outlet comfortably. This 10-foot cable was exactly what I needed to address this issue. The added length significantly simplified the process of cable routing, allowing me to arrange the cables neatly and efficiently, which contributed to a tidy and organized setup. The quality of the cable is impressive and feels as though it is of premium standard, comparable to the original cable that was included with my monitor. The connector fits securely into the back of the monitor, ensuring a stable and reliable connection. An additional benefit of purchasing this cable is that it comes with two cables in the package, which offers excellent value. Having a spare cable available is incredibly useful, as it can be used for another monitor or saved for future projects, providing flexibility and preparedness for any potential needs.Overall, if you are in the market for a longer replacement power cord that is well-constructed and performs exactly as expected, I highly recommend this product. It meets all the necessary criteria for quality, functionality, and value, making it an easy choice for anyone in a similar situation.
