This kit was so challenging for us to install we abandoned the original project and settled for a smaller application.The smaller application went better and appears to be working as desired for that area with good soft coloration.We're giving this 4 stars due to the difficulty to install and work with the product when customizing.We would only recommend this for specific project types, look carefully at the included items.

This is a pretty decent set, you get a power box (w AC cord) that can support up to 7 plug in connector end strips plus one hard wired strip, 7 connector wires with 'vampire tap' connectors, a touch sensor switch, and a 5 meter length of LED strip. The LED strip has an adhesive back. It does not look like it is particularly water or weather resistant.The strips have a very high LED density the claimed 320 LED's meter works out to about 8 LED's / inch. At high brightness the dots are barely noticeable. They become more so at dimmer settings, but still aren't bad. The strips are something you would want to conceal however as they are a yellow stripe down the white tape with visible copper at the cut points and printed polarity markings, not very appealing when off.When on the strip I got is very cool white (6000K) This is not adjustable, if you want a different color you need a different kit (I believe this company makes similar kits in many different colors.The box is fairly compact and easy to use, however it has a blue led inside that lights when it has power. This shines out through the ports, so you will need to hide the box well unless you want a night light... It is also worth noting that it controls all the connected strips as a unit, you don't get control over individual strips.The touch control works but is a bit finicky and takes a fair bit of getting used to before you can control the lights reliably.The manual is pretty well written and understandable.Overall a pretty good kit

Swapping out that stark overhead lighting for these under cabinet strips changed the whole feel of the kitchen, giving it a softer, more inviting glow instead of that flat fluorescent look. Installation was simple thanks to the strong adhesive backing, no drilling or wiring required to get everything in place. The touch switch works well too, letting you dim the brightness with a wave of the hand rather than hunting for a separate control panel. Cutting the strip to fit around cabinet corners and odd angles was easy, and the connections held solidly once everything was in place. Coverage is even across the whole run, no dark patches or uneven brightness breaking up the effect. The memory function is a nice touch, remembering the last brightness setting instead of resetting to full blast every time. This turned a purely functional kitchen space into somewhere that actually feels comfortable to spend time in after dark.Highly recommended!
