I installed this hexagon lighting system in my garage and have been very pleased with the results. The lights put out a surprising amount of brightness and do a great job lighting up the work area below. The 5000K color temperature provides a crisp daylight appearance that makes it easier to see details while working on projects.Assembly took some time, but the modular design allowed me to create a layout that fit the space well. Once installed, the lights produced an even spread of light with very few shadows. I also like the modern look they add to the garage. In my setup, these lights are noticeably brighter than the older fluorescent fixtures nearby. We were looking for a way to add more lighting to our garage and decided to give these hexagon lights a shot. Unfortunately, shortly after placing the order, some unexpected events came up and we're now in the process of relocating.We haven't had a chance to actually install the lights, but we did take them out and test them before everything got packed up. They worked well during our testing and put out a nice, bright, even light, which is exactly what we were looking for.We're planning to have a garage at our new location, so we'll hopefully get to put these to good use there. Based on our initial testing, we're happy with the purchase so far. I just wish we had gotten the chance to see them installed before having to move!

I have not tried dimming these as I like a bright garage. These are competitively priced. Installation is easy once you map out where your lights and the electrical connection will be. Even though 1 set of 5 will replace the standard 2 neon hanging garage light, because these are directly on the ceiling you get more room for hatchbacks etc.

Generally good idea, but product execution here could be much better.First off, these lights appear to be priced as a very premium product... and they sadly are not. Several times while assembling the shapes, the ends came completely apart from the tubes. I had to use pliers and manhandled them back together. The plastic on the defuser is not thick enough and attachment mechanisms are flawed. This causes them to bend and deflect as you push the tubes into the connectors, then get stuck so you can't pull them apart to reajust.Next, the 5 hexagon shape kit literally allows only two arrangements of the shapes. This means you need a large area of bare ceiling as the minimum size is two hexagons in one direction and three in the other. It's not small, it's pretty deceptively large.On pros, the light output is very strong. Its a cool color light bordering on daylight spectrum. Definitely not a warm tint. While it didn't match my other shop lights, it was close enough it didn't drive me nuts either. Too bad there's no color tone adjustable features.

I have been looking for the perfect lights for my 3D print room for a long time. The room is at the front of my home, so I wanted something attractive, but it also functions as a workshop and needs highly functional lighting.I needed enough light to find small dropped screws and work on my printer without holding a flashlight in my teeth. I’ve tried several attractive light fixtures over the last couple of years, but none provided enough light for the work area.Everything in this kit arrived complete, sturdy, and very well made. The entire fixture is solid yet lightweight. The hexagons are larger than I anticipated. The pic shows one on my 18” tiles.The assembly itself is very easy, but installing the full frame on the ceiling is more involved. Getting positioned correctly requires at least two people. My 16-year-old son helped me, and there were times when I wished we had a third person. Installation was difficult were compounded by my high ceilings.There was nothing technically difficult about the installation, especially compared with other light fixtures I’ve installed. The size and shape of the frame simply made it more time-consuming than I expected. It took us about two and a half to three hours.Once installed, this was exactly the light I had been looking for, and it was more than worth every minute we worked to install it. It’s attractive and unique, with plenty of visual interest, but it still looks appropriate in my home and 3D print studio.The clean, daylight-white light is bright enough for detailed work. I love how evenly it illuminates the room without the shadows and dim, overly yellow lighting I had before.I added a dimmer switch afterward so I could use a lower setting for regular room lighting and increase it when I need extra light for detailed work. The light dims smoothly and lets me adjust it to exactly the brightness I want.For the price, this provides an amazing quality and quantity of light. It is by far superior to anything else I’ve tried in this room.
