I tested out this clear tarp on a chicken coop, and it performs exceptionally well for weatherproofing without cutting off natural light. The clear material holds up great outdoors, remaining flexible and transparent through both direct sun exposure and winter snow. The internal string grid reinforcement provides serious tear resistance, preventing the plastic from ripping or fraying along stress points. It has survived a full year of seasonal weather without cracking or degrading.Installation is simple and secure thanks to the preset metal grommets along the edges. Using the included mounting string, it's quick to tie down tightly against chicken wire or coop framing to block wind and rain.

This COZYDIG 6.6x10FT seems decent, and works fine. It's a good thickness. What I have found with these though, is that the real test is how long they can withstand UV. Every similar tarp I've tried so far, can't make it 6 months in the sun, and often much less than that. Plus the grommets always end up rusted. However, I owe a review before a reasonable test period. This has no UV protection at all, so it is very overpriced for what it is, and likely to not make it very long. It's usable for now, but I find it to be a poor value for the price, and unlikely to be very sturdy or durable, or have longevity in the outdoors. In a totally covered setting, that may be fine. But the cost is still too much for a small tarp. One can double or triple up 6mil clear roll, and use a grommet maker tool, and get far more coverage for the same money. This is somewhat easy to use, easy to assemble, and it’s versatile. It’s somewhat attractive.I'll come back to update this if it greatly exceeded my expectations, or somehow ended up much worse.

Really awesome coop tarp. I got it because rain is always coming in one side. It's frustrating because it floods out their food and ends up wasting a lot. Once their food gets wet, I can't leave it out for more than 12 hours. Living in a hot and humid climate, mold sets in quickly. So I got this just for that side. This way I still have three open sides of welded wire fencing. So they still get plenty of air flow. But the other sides have better tree coverage around the coop. So that seems to keep the rain from coming in diagonally over there. This is a huge improvement over the front facing side though. The quality is really great. I love that it comes with all the accessories.I have installed loops at the top edge of my coop. Which is about 6 ft tall on the sides. 8 ft tall at the steeple. But the side I needed to cover is just 6 ft tall all across. So this fits that perfect up to the door. It does a great job of keeping the rain out of where all their food bowls are. When I am here all day and it's not going to be a storm, I just roll it up and hook the lower end on the same hooks up top. That way the bottom 3 ft is open for additional air flow. It's a really great setup.

This is a nice thick clear tarp. Opening a clear tarp of this size was challenging; it's like trying to unfold really thick cling food wrap. I deducted a star as the rust-resistant metal grommets are a little wimpy. In my experience with shade sails and tarps that use "rust-resistant" grommets, they usually rust within the first year. I plan to use this as a type of walkway cover during the rainy season, for the two of my three dogs who are total divas when even a few drops are falling. It's long enough to get them across the patio to the yard where I have other accommodations.I only received a rope for installation; the zip ties specified in the listing were not in the package.

This is very nice, and I look forward to using it with my chickens when cold weather comes. I use covers like this for my chicken's outside winter areas, and this will help expand the area being covered. Unlike others that I've purchased, this one comes with rope and zip ties! The grommets appear very sturdy and are likely to stay in place, which is helpful to me because I like to put hooks along the enclosure to hang the covers, and I leave the hooks in place when winter is over to be reused again the following winter. This will definitely block wind and snow in outside roofed areas during winter here in New England. For example, there is an open area under their coop where they can be ouside without snow or rain coming down directly on them and a covered dog run is one of the winter pens I have for my flock because when there is a blizzard, they still love to get outside, and this is an area where I can keep out the snow and wind without them feeling like they're locked inside their coop. This cover will help me expand the chickens' winter area, keeping out cold wind and snow while allowing sunlight to come through. This is a nice size because, unlike smaller ones, it will create a longer coverage without seams that could allow wind to slip in. When using covers like this, be sure to leave an opening between the roof and side covers to allow ventilation for the birds.

I needed something to protect areas outside for when the weather gets cold or when it starts raining. This clear tarp is perfect for use around my feral cat shelters for extra protection during bad weather, and it works really well for that. The clear vinyl is thick and feels durable, but I can still see through it instead of completely closing off the area. It helps block wind and rain while keeping the shelters underneath protected. There are plenty of grommets around the edges, which makes it easy to secure, and I like that the rope and zip ties are included. This is a great quality, durable and a really excellent option to rain and “winter proof” an outdoor cat area.

This could be used for more than just chicken coops. It is a very nice quality clear tarp. It is very transparent, with just some distortion at the folds, but mostly go away when stretched tight. There is a small rope that borders the entire tarp and is sewn in. The gromets are also well done and keep it from tearing out where it is tied down.I'm actually going to use this on my guinea coop, where I have one side that is open (just has hardware cloth on it), and it will work perfectly when the temperature starts dropping this fall.It comes with some smaller zip ties and a decent amount of small rope.
