Was looking for something that didn't scream "cheap apartment hook" – this is it. The metal base is nicely finished, no sharp edges, and the walnut peg has a nice grain to it. Feels substantial in hand, not hollow or flimsy. Mounted them in our hallway for coats and backpacks, and they've held up to daily abuse from two kids without loosening. Easy install, great look, would buy again in a heartbeat.
